The media could not be loaded. Absolutely love this ring doorbell. The pre roll feature is great because you can see a little bit before the camera starts it’s “true” recording. Yes, the pre-roll is blurry, but then it turns to full HD once the true recording begins.Motion Zones: You can create motion zones that tell the camera to only record in the areas that you want it to. This is helpful for a busy road or sidewalk where you don’t want to be notified each time.Battery: On normal settings, the battery lasted about 2 months in the middle of summer. To me it’s not the end of the world and charging the battery is easy. Yes, it takes a long time to charge (about 6 hours), but I’ll do this during a slow afternoon while sitting at home. I haven’t had an issue with it running out too quickly at all.Live talk/video: This feature is great because you can look “live” at your camera at any time and communicate with anyone at your door.Subscription: for $4 a month, it’s worth it.I highly recommend making the investment into this camera. Easy installation, good battery life, and peace of mind.

I saw some reviews talking about how difficult setup is. It isn't difficult at all. It's thorough, there are a few steps, but simple. Installation was also not difficult. Once you get the position you want, you're good to go. The only complaint is that it didn't come with a screwdriver. Be prepared to use your own tools. It has a driver for the screw to secure the front plate. I have the tools for the job, so that was fine. Just be aware of that.I may update this later. So far the video quality is excellent. It works well picking up motion. Another individual stated to make sure to change the motion detection settings within the app. I completely agree with that. Just tweek it to your own liking. As of right now, I couldn't be happier with it.

I've had this model for about a year and a half. It was easy to install and set up. Unfortunately, the motion detection is a bit wonky. I can count on it to alert me every time a garbage truck drives down the street, but it's slower to pick up people on the porch, to the point that sometimes all it records is their backside as they leave. It also loses contact with my WiFi router on a regular basis and the only way to fix it is to open the cover and do a hard reset. Even when it doesn't completely lose the signal, sometimes it is sketchy to the point that the app doesn't get a notice and the doorbell doesn't play the recorded greeting. The router is about 10 feet away and produces a strong signal on my porch that my other devices have no problem connecting with. For these reasons I consider it less reliable than a security device needs to be. Night vision and overall picture are good.UPDATE: firmware updates seem to have resolved the problems I reported initially. The camera is working much more reliably now. Motion recording is better, false alarms are fewer, and the smart greeting feature was added to let visitors record a message. It's a much better product than it was when I first installed it.

This doorbell camera is absolutely amazing. It is so good, high quality, came in-tact, fast shipping, definetly recommend. I have attached photos of how it came, including the box, information given, packaging, and the actual doorbell itself. It came in a protected box, no dents or damages. Inside the box the wires, screwdriver and doorbell, as well as instructions. I attached it at the front of my house next to my door, and it works so well! Clear quality, motion senses are good, is secure, night vision works well. Battery is good, and colours in display are great. Notifications work on my phone, and overall, the whole thing is just great! I highly recommend this product for anyone who wants a working doorbell. Hope you find this review helpful!

Amazing product saves a lot of time and I feel a lot more secure with my packages. The plus points are that when they ring the bell the sound goes off at the bell and also ur phone does a door bell notification sound if you have enabled it in the app so u get the ring no matter where u are home or not. If u don’t want to give anyone else access simply Combine it with the chime and u can make sure anyone hears the bell even if they are in the top floor and finally the battery life is beautiful. It does take about 6 hours to fully charge but after just one charge the battery is still at 75% after 10 days. Don’t need to stress about buying an extra battery.

This doorbell works well, and has good hardware design, but could have been easier to set up in terms of connecting to my wi-fi network, and the recommended upload speed (on the product's internet site) was not strong enough to provide a reliable connection (but changes to my home wi-fi mean I have more than triple the recommended upload speed at the doorbell location now, and it works well). While I got a Chime Pro to assist with the connection, it didn't provide any better connection strength (despite being in a better and somewhat closer location) than my modem/router, although that will vary based on the strength of signal coming from your modem/router.The phone app is good, the battery life also good (about 2 weeks, with a fair bit of motion detection and recording), the process of replacing the battery straightforward, and the information available via the app and the recordings of the videos via the Protect Plan excellent. The design and physical installation were both good, and the range of faceplates met our needs in terms of blending in with the complex. It's very handy to be able to communicate with someone who arrives at the door when I'm not in, and the customisable motion zones and pre-roll features are noticeably useful (particularly the customisable motion zones, as the doorbell faces a busy street, so being able to cover the letterbox but not the road avoids a lot of car recordings).Other than the upload speed/connection issues, other things that needed resolving during set-up (in case it helps anyone who bumps into similar):- For whatever reason, the Chime Pro (2nd edition) doesn’t work with (at least my) ‘combined’ 2.4GHz and 5GHz wi-fi network – I needed to split it into two separate networks for it to hook up. When it was combined, it repeatedly (and incorrectly) gave the error that the password was incorrect (and the password was checked carefully, and was fine, and worked once the networks had been split).- On a combined 2.4GHz and 5GHz wi-fi network, the Ring 4 video doorbell for some reason decided that it wanted to connect to the 5GHz signal (RSSIs from 72 to 78) rather than the 2.4GHz signal (RSSIs of 55-65, even without the Chime Pro).Working around this was a bit fiddly (made moreso by some issues on my ISP's end - but that's not a doorbell issue), but once everything was set up, it works very well, and is a great product.

Absolutely love my ring doorbell! I feel a lot safer getting my packages delivered and honestly just in general safer. The only downside is there's a little bit of a delay with the detection to the plug in part or phones. And only sometimes it lags, other times it is very quick to respond.

This is a good ring / camera kit. Resolution is acceptable , and 30 days subscription free is fine but once subscription free period ends it’s useless unless you pay and subscribe. Save your money and find other options that offer more options / better resolution and no subscription. I sold this after the 30 day period and did my more research and night something better. The Ring models are good for people who have limited IT skills and have money to subscribe to “another” service.
