Sharper than it seems, works well
After reading reviews, I was skeptical of this toolโs abilities to cut up a watermelon. My kids LOVE watermelon, but I HATE cutting them up because of the giant mess that is made every time I do.I knew there would be a learning curve, so the first half of the watermelon cutting went ok, considering. By the time I got to the second half, I had it figured out. I love this thing! It keeps the mess inside the watermelon and you get just the delicious parts out of it.Beware, itโs apparently much sharper than it appears, as I ended up with some slices on my fingers without even realizing it.

Works, but One big flaw
The pin in the end of this one is attached to both sides. I have another one that the pin attaches on one side and slides through the other side. That one is much easier to use.

A little flimsy
This was a replacement for a similar tool. This one feels more flimsy. It does not feel like it will last for long.

Pretty Good Watermelon Slicer
This slicer took a little getting used to. By the end of my first melon I was consistently cutting slices to the rind. My only complaint is the handle needs some kind of padding. It digs into the hand when cutting the slices.

Fingers: beware the backside!
Although I was able to figure out how to slice watermelon use this gizmo after a couple of trys (no instructions are provided), I also managed to slice my finger. As it turns out, the back side of the arms have not been deburred and the edges are sharp. It takes a little practice to make sure that the tip cuts close to the rind to avoid leaving behind perfectly good watermelon. When trying to press the tip of the device into the the watermelon , I made the mistake of extending my index finger beyond the rubber-coated section. The back of the arm immediately sliced into my skin. I intend to use sandpaper or a file to round-off the back edges a bit, then continue to use the gizmo.

Great gift for fruit-loving mothers (?)
Bought this for my mom as part of a gift for Mother's Day, as she loves watermelon. As such, I myself so not know the quality of this product. I will update my review when I see this thing in action. As for first impressions, the cutter (or rather, its box) appears to be about a foot long, shorter than the average watermelon we buy, and the blade would probably be half the length of one. Then again, that may come in handy for scooping out the flesh and cutting it into tiny pieces. Time will tell about how well this cutter performs.

Seem to work good my first try with a cantelope
Seem to work good my first try with a cantelope. I like it but make sure you wait until the fruit is ripe or it can be more difficult to cut through. Quality seems good but time will tell. It' didn't come with any directions or info so I was trying to figure out what all those serrations, cut outs and slots are for.Otherwise they could of made the plastic cover a little thicker so it would hold better in your hand and for won't dig into your hand as much. But good product. Like it better than a knife.

Simple gadget but useful
Personally have not tried it yet, as it was meant for gift to someone but I have seen a friend using this same product and was impressed as it looks super easy to use.

I love it. My first experience it was not great but after 3 times of use I become expert already. The first of piece is the โhardestโ to cut out but the when u have a space on both sides is so easy to cut all the pieces nicely. So is good to have a patience for the few first times u trying And it will save u so much work. The one small thing is that the cutter bends so after few use need to be pulled little bit apart, but this will take just a second to do it.

Ideal for watermelon. May struggle with firmer type melons.
Seems strong & sturdy. Given it the squeeze test & withstood pressure with breaking away at the tipI think this will be fine with a ripe watermelon but the tip will struggle to slice through a honeydew melon or a firm Galia melon as they are much harder & the tip is not a blade, but a circular piece of metal rod. Would be easier to cut the firmer melons had the tip have been a blade.
