The wood seems like a good quality wood but, it was very rough, as it had not been sanded. I had to sand all the splinters off.

Just a hunk of dowel. Note the dimensions: it's quite small (must have been modeled by a very small person). Minimal work done on the bare wood, will dent and wear like ordinary softwood.

I took a class learning how to make Chinese dumplings from scratch and we need small rolling pins for that. This rolling pin is perfect for that, I think. It seems to be good quality, very smooth wood, no cracks or anything.I think I will find a use for them other than Chines dumpling making.The only issue is the vendor "JapanBargain" will charge shipping for each item, otherwise I would have bought several but instead I just got one.

This product is exactly what you expect it to be. A perfect rolling pin without the big handles. It's small, and not too heavy, so all the pressure applied on your work is easier to control. It's very smooth which makes it easy to clean. One of the ends has a flower carved into it too!

Just what I needed. Reasonably priced and easy to clean.

Thanks for providing a well-made prodcuct, and for your prompt delivery of it! I'm going to rub it with a few coats of walnut oil and it'll be all set for rolling out small meat- and veggie-filled pies. :)

French rolling pin is more ergonomic for me. A personal preference thing
