Can it work for trout species?

Not sure yet! It seemed to work for smallmouth bass though. I was using it and literally fishing 5 ft from my husband and I caught fish and he didn’t. I’m going to try it on trout soon!

How frequently do you have to apply? Every cast? Every 10 casts?

I never honestly paid much attention to how often I apply. Basically, when I use it the first time it's t try to locate the bite, and from there fishing happens. I might apply some maybe 20 minutes later when I move to a new location, but that's the best I can do. Just know you're not going to catch every time you cast, so the best I can offer is maybe every 5 casts or so.

will it work in saltwater?

Yes , but sent is created for bass in particular. I have a saltwater scent specifically made for saltwater

Can this product be used for striped bass (fresh water)?

Not really a decent solution for any fish, not recommended.

More of a detterent then a lure enhancer

I purchased this product 2 years ago and decided to use this over the course of a couple seasons to give a fair assesment of the product before I reveiwed it. When using this product in areas I know well and catch regularly I found it to be more of a deterent then a lure enhancer. If i used a spinner jig without this product i would catch when working banks all day as soon as i added this product fish would stop biting. Its so oily it would contaminate the whole spot and force me to reset my lines and move up river. I recommend learning to properly work your lures and use pieces of live bait with them over purxhasing this product.
