I use this for my axolotl and it works great. It keeps my tank at about 65 degrees F. It's a little loud, but I don't mind ambient noise. It's much cheaper than a chiller and works great.

The media could not be loaded. We bought this for our axolotl tank in the basement. It was hovering around 70-71 in the heat of summer so we wanted to bring it down a little bit. This did the trick. On hot days it goes down to 68 and cooler days it’s 66 just on the low setting. On the low setting it doesn’t make much more noise than a filter but the high setting isis noticeably louder.You do have to watch though if you have a rim on your tank you’ll need an adapter. Luckily I had someone 3d print one for me.Overall a good little fan that does exactly what we wanted it to do.

This unit does a nice job in cooling down our 40 gallon tank. I read others concerned with the noise however it is no worse than the white noise of a standard fan. I would give it 5 stars if it were not for the inability to attach it securely to a tank with a lip as most have; we have ours clamped and the outer edge resting on the lid.

Edit: I had initially given this product a low score. After a month of use it began having issues and a day or two after that it burned out. Which was unsettling since I really did like the product but didn't expect an electronic of this nature to only last a monthHowever the seller reached out to me with nothing but kindness and offered to send a new one.It's been over a month now and the new one is now going strong and doing exactly what I expect it to!

I bought this item March 28th, recieved it a week later, it's April 8th and I was sitting on my couch and the tank is close to me, all I heard was a lot of noise coming from the tank loud! I went over to check to see what was going on, I turned the fan off, that's when I noticed the pieces missing from the one fan and those pieces that came apart was in the water, I pulled those out because my Axolotyl is now living in the tank, and checked him out, I will be doing something else to keep his tank cool, returning the item is not an option because the rest of the 3 remaining fans are working and I have to keep the water at 64 degrees, to say I'm disappointed it did this is an understatement, I'll just spend the money and get a chiller delivered for the safety of my Axolotyl and a fire in my home! Bigger than I thought, 3 fan system for for a Evo 13.5, so a little overkill. We don't notice when it kicks on though it's basically in our bedroom by way of master bath, so pretty quiet but definitely not a whisper quiet. I have it hooked to a temp controller, and I live where it being106° degrees for weeks, my tank stays ~78° (+/-) 1°. Pushes good. Would buy another.

i have two of these, they do work, however i have had them for a few months and they are to the point where they are so loud and rattling that i had to throw them out, they also would vibrate all over the top of my tank lid all around the place.

Used the product on low during the day and stopped working less than a year. Used to work great till it stopped
