Cressi Adult Diving Dry Snorkel with Splash Guard and Top Valve - Supernova Dry: Designed in Italy

I have gone down the rabbit hole looking for the right snorkel and I truly believe this is the best one at a great price. I have bought cheaper and more expensive. I can breathe freely and feel confident that it will work properly. I go spearfish from shore where waves and currents can beat you up. I bought a cheap one thinking it would be fine I could have use a straw and done better the dry system restricted my breath so I was nervous buying this one didn’t wanna fall for that twice, but I can say this is no cheap snorkel. Very comfortable works so good and will stand the time. Well built. I just purchased a second one for my wife because I was so happy with it.

I recently took the plunge and bought the Cressi Adult Diving Dry Snorkel with Splash Guard and Top Valve, affectionately dubbed the Supernova Dry. First off, let me just say that this snorkel has the aesthetic charm of a sleek Italian sports car—if that car were designed to help you breathe underwater while looking like a complete goofball. The first time I tried it out, I felt like a majestic dolphin. I mean, who wouldn’t want to channel their inner aquatic creature? The splash guard does an admirable job of keeping water out, which is great unless you decide to dive into the middle of a wave. Then it’s like your snorkel has just given up on you, saying, “Good luck with that, buddy!” But hey, I came prepared with some impressive snorting sounds when I inevitably inhaled a mouthful of seawater. The top valve is a game-changer; it’s like a bouncer for your snorkel, only letting in the good stuff (read: air). I was ready to take on the underwater world until I realized that my inability to equalize my ears was a bigger issue than I’d anticipated. There I was, floating like a potato with a snorkel, wondering if I should’ve just invested in a bubble wand instead. Comfort-wise, the mouthpiece feels like a cozy little pillow for your teeth, which is crucial if you plan to spend hours trying to identify fish and not just your own reflection. Speaking of which, I did find myself practicing my best “I’m definitely not panicking” face in the mirror before heading out. Spoiler alert: it didn’t work out well. In summary, the Cressi Supernova Dry snorkel is a fantastic way to explore the underwater world—unless you’re me, in which case it’s a hilarious adventure filled with awkward moments, questionable breathing techniques, and the occasional fish that probably questioned my life choices. If you’re looking for a snorkel that works and makes you look like a swimming superstar (or at least a really enthusiastic seal), this is the one for you. Just remember to bring a sense of humor along with your flippers!

This works wonderful. No water intrusion even in rough water

I first used the Cressi Supernova Dry snorkel about three years ago during a summer in Aruba. It held up wonderfully until a strong current pulled it away—unfortunately, the hook can slip off the mask if it’s not carefully clamped. After switching to a backup semi-dry snorkel for the rest of that trip, I knew I wanted the Supernova again. When I found a good price, I picked up a replacement, which has been with me for over two years and accompanied me on three major trips: two three-week trips to Aruba and one to Raja Ampat. This snorkel has performed flawlessly throughout. Its dry top mechanism keeps water out effectively, even in choppy conditions, and I always make sure to rinse it thoroughly to prevent sand buildup. Compared to other cheaper brands I’ve tried, the Supernova’s build quality and reliability are unmatched for the price range. After two years of regular use, the silicone mouthpiece and clear flex tubing have become slightly more opaque but remain soft and durable. The mouthpiece is particularly comfortable for my medium-sized jaw, with no cracking or drying out. While I notice the airflow is slightly less than my Scubapro semi-dry snorkel, it’s more than sufficient for my lung capacity, and I never feel restricted. Traveling light is essential for me, and I appreciate that the Supernova can be disassembled into two pieces for compact packing. This, along with my Scubapro Supernova split fins, allows me to fit all my snorkeling gear and clothing into a 40L backpack. Overall, the Cressi Supernova Dry snorkel is an essential part of my snorkeling kit. It’s hard to find a better-performing snorkel in this price range. For anyone on the fence, this is a reliable dry snorkel—provided you take care of it. Washing it carefully after each use and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun will help it last. With over 300 hours of snorkeling experience as an intermediate snorkeler, I can confidently recommend the Cressi Supernova to anyone looking for a dependable and well-designed snorkel.

product works well. The keep device is designed to slip over the mask strap, but if your mask has the strap which has "teeth" rather than is smooth as my Sherwood does, it is quite difficult to use the keep provided. Once fought into place, snorkel worked fine and mouthpiece was comfortable for swims of more than and hour each over several days in Moorea.

This brand makes really good snorkeling gear. I can’t compare it in detail with other brands because I haven’t personally used many others, but after seeing the basic rental gear provided by snorkeling tours, you really appreciate having your own decent equipment. This is especially true when you’re getting into the ocean from a boat or deeper water. The snorkel from this brand feels much more secure and reliable than the simple free rental tubes.

Been using it for about 3-4 wks, so far still good. Regularly use it for lap swim training, twice a wk. Not much water coming in when I do the flips. Looks durable, & the softness of the tube makes it easier to store in my swim bag.

Works great- quality product

Ürün harika. Cressi kalitesini bilen bilir zaten.

It's a good snorkel. We use it for many years.

Nice best price but no colour choice.....

Finally got a chance to try my new snorkel. Excellent product. Very comfortable mouthpiece, no leaking, and no water entered from the top when diving under while snorkeling. The attachment to the mask strap has a quick release which is handy because my mask is stored in a case which does not fit the snorkel. The snorkel mouthpiece section curves to fit comfortably and the silicon mouthpiece is a comfortable size for a medium adult mouth. The snorkel must attach to the mask strap on the left side of your head due to the curve. Such a big improvement over my old snorkel.

Comfortable in the mouth. I was skeptical about the dry feature, but it works! I did not try it deaper than 4 feet. The clip is quick release (the ring around the snorkel and the clip detach from one another) which is really pratical when using the mask without snorkel or to store mask and snorkel. Got this for a great price and it look really good too so perfect for me!
