Bissell is the best
This is the second Bissell Steam Mop that we've purchased. The first one lasted a long time and just couldn't take the beatings anymore. My husband and I have a lot of rescue animals and this steamer is amazing. We recently adopted an elderly girl and her daughter. The Mom is incontinent and has accidents. So along with puppy pads, this steamer gets a workout. It builds up steam quickly, really cleans well and we don't have to use a mop or paper towels. The cord length is great and it saves a lot of time and mess. I know with steam, the floors get really clean. I know I could buy another brand and possible save a few $$. So that brings me to another reason why I buy Bissell. They give back to animal rescues !!!! My husband and I are all about rescuing. Bissell will always get our business.

Recommend!
Love the steam mop. Thought at first it was missing the bottom, but it actually makes it lighter, easier to carry, stands on it own, and it pretty quiet when it’s on. I use regular tap water and empty when I’m done so you don’t necessarily need to use distilled water works just as good. Also love that you can pull the bottom off and scrub the tile grout, but it does use up the water faster

Works fabulously but life span is short - going to try distilled water only
I am now choosing this mop for the THIRD time. Am I a fool? Maybe. The first Bissell 1806 mop I bought worked exceptionally but stopped making steam after about 9 mos. I called Bissell and they sent me out another one, as it was under warranty. That mop worked fine for just over 2 years, then it also stopped creating steam. Now that one is headed to the landfill; warranty is expired. Unless you buy an extended warranty for 3 years, this seems to be a 2-year-life-span-maximum mop. Bummer. However, I really like the functionality of this mop, hence the reason why I just bought the same one yet AGAIN - even after consulting consumer reports and looking at what the new competition is! I really love how you can easily (while mopping) pop off the mop head with the foot release to expose the brush head and scrub at tough, stuck-on messes or even scrub the grout on a tile floor with ease... and it really gets it clean! Then you can just insert it back in the mop head and move on. The water tank is a decent size, and the cord is 25 feet which is fairly long. The water gets hot, hot, hot! And fairly quickly. There are other mops that have the scrubber/brush head but you have to stop the mop and change the heads. Not convenient and you might have to wait for the mop head to cool down. I am thinking that my hard water in my area is what is eventually killed my second steam mop, so I'm going to try distilled water only from now on, and will even try the new scented distilled waters on the market. We'll see how that goes. I took away one star because of the shorter life span, (I don' think hard water killed my first Bissell 1806) but otherwise this is a 5 star steam mop in my book.

Wow it works great.
I thought as big as my entry is and the kitchen I would have to fill the water up. I barely used up any water for my huge entry and kitchen. I did not have to unplug it to go into the entry, the cord is really long, so convenient. The floors look way better than when I would mop. They dried faster than conventional mopping. I feel good that my floor is sterilized and Pet safe. The scent disc's last about 20 min so I won't be buying them. I don't see why I couldn't just put a, piece of cardboard in the slot and add a, few drops of lavender in place of the scent disc.

Throw away the mop and pail!
This steam mop is great! It’s easy to use and quickly cleans floors. I’m older and was tired of using a mop and pail to clean my tile floors. Because of that, my kitchen floor hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned in a while. This steam mop did a wonderful job of cleaning and will allow me to clean my tile floors more often.

Very Good!
UPDATED ONE YEAR LATER: After using this for one year I thought I would add an update. I am still v e r y pleased with this stem mop. It does the job. Vacuum well before using the Bissel for best results. Two very small niggles have emerged. 1. The handle is NOT very ergonomic and if you have any arthritis in your hands you might consider padding the handle. I have not yet dine this, but plan to look for an appropriate wrapping maybe to use over a bit of foam. 2. The cord does not like to stay ‘clipped’ and sometimes comes undone. I still find steam mopping the best and safest solution for cleaning my floors…especially with pets who can be sensitive to many cleaning products. I do enjoy adding just a hunt of organic essential oils to the “scent board” that fits into the plastic holder. It adds just enough to refresh the air without endangering my critter family members. I do remove the board after every use because essential oils could damage the plastic if left in place too long. I Have had no problems at all. ++++++++++++++++ I wanted a mop that was lightweight, easy to maneuver, did not require the use of cleaning powders or liquids, reduced bacteria and virus’ , stores easily in as small a space as possible. I ordered this Bissell and basically got exactly what I wanted! i have used a steam cleaner in the past (like 20 years ago) - it was a canister model that did a decent job but was a bit clunky to lug about. As age encroaches I found that I wanted a lighter, easier to manage steam mop that was light, easy to use, and cleaned like a wizard. I started doing some research and landed i. the Bissel. I am sensitive to many cleaning products. Steam sanitizes without the need for cleaning products! This model is easier to use and has very few - if any- negatives. Pros: * Lightweight * Very easy to maneuver. The cleaning head swivels to get into most any odd shaped or small area. * Produces prodigious steam in very little time. * Has two steam settings : regular steam and prodigious steam! * Easy to refill with water * Simple and intuitive to use. * The cleaning pads are well made, fit securely, clean very well and wash up perfectly. To me thats’s a win! Potential Cons * For anyone with arthritis in your hands and wrists - the handle could use a bit of padding. Certainly not a deal breaker but thought I would mention it. * Uses distilled water. I drink filtered water and I think that it will be sufficient - does not use all that much! I used it on vinyl flooring, LVP flooring, and tile flooring and it worked like a champ on all of them. Good product. Reasonable price. Clean, sanitized, floors!

Great steam mop
I bought this to clean my laminate kitchen floors. The only thing that got them clean was to get down and scrub them and that wasn't going to happen on a regular basis. I've tried the old school pull-the-handle type mops, specially bought triangle shaped scrubby mops, wetjets, and swab the deck type mops. None of them got the grit out from the design in the laminate. Whoever gave laminate floors to the world clearly never mopped laminate floors. The steam mop was the last resort. I'd been putting it off since they're expensive but finally caved. It works great. It took high steam and a few passes but eventually my kitchen floors started to look newish. I think over time it'll get better/cleaner. I had planned on using it only in the kitchen and bathroom since I have wood floors. I decided to try it on low steam and it worked nicely as well. You shouldn't let it 'sit' on the wood floor long and it shouldn't cause damage if your floors are sealed. Might want to test it out first. I could tell a difference vs the swab the deck mop I normally use. The floors looked much cleaner. It doesn't take long to warm up, like 30sec. The filling cup is helpful but it doesn't fit on my mop handle like other people said they should. It'll kind of halfway fit or cling to it but as soon as I move the mop it pops off. I use distilled water. I use distilled water in my iron for my sewing projects so I had it around anyway. I believe it's recommended. One full tank will last my whole 1 bedroom apartment on low steam. One tank on high will get my kitchen and bathroom with water leftover (depending on how fast I went). I haven't used the scent discs, so I can't comment. I took off one star for a couple reasons. While the long cord is useful, it's more a pain for me. I have to constantly pull it out of the way and find it kind of frustrating. The mop pads can be a pain to get on. They both have friction issues which makes it difficult to push and pull the mop like a vacuum cleaner. The front of the pad gets kind of pulled under the mop head and causes it to drag if you try to push the mop away from you. You have to go slow and gentle to get it to kind of work. It doesn't seem like the extra scrubby pad really helps all that much to be honest. I've tossed both pads in the washing machine, air dried. They're cleaner but there's still dirt stains on them. I'm not surprised but disappointed. Overall, the mop is great and I don't regret spending the money on it. I kind of wish I had just spent the money on this instead of all those other mops.

Defective machine
Machine not steaming and incorrect plug, we wish to return this item but I see it has an american return address We are not prepared to pay postage to America it will be far too expensive. There should be an address in Australia to return it to and even then we should not have to pay postage as the machine is faulty

Creditable seller and great customer service
Great customer services. We forgot to check the voltage difference between US and Singapore, product can not be used in Singapore. Seller has reached out promptly and followed up to ensure refund has been processed promptly. It’s a pity we cannot use the product, but the customer service is really good. Thank you.

Highly recommend this model!
Really works well! Used it right out of the box. Love the measuring cup. I don't have to pull the water tank out of the unit like I did with my old one. And I don't have to use Dawn Power Wash Spray on the stains on the floor before going over them like I had to with the old unit. Couple of wipes and the stains were gone! Love the unit. I would highly recommend this model.

Refunded my money as it can’t work in the country where I live
The product can’t work in Singapore due to voltage rating. The seller is kind enough to give me the product for free and refund me my money.
