They work well for this, but are a little difficult to turn off.

I fish for steelhead in the early morning hours on Lake Michigan. I use a slip rig with a snap swivel on a 6 foot leader and liked that these could be used fixed or slip.First, the good part sabout these floats.The Led lights worked great and the batteries seem like they will last a long time. The floats seem to have a good seal and maintain their buoyancy and protect the led light. The light was clearly visible on slightly wavy water (no moon) from about 100 yds or more.Now, the deal breakers.There appears to be a ridge in the slip tube that prevents feeding the line through, tried from either direction, do the slip feature is a no go. So I improvised and used the spring to fix the float onto the top of the leader.l, but the plastic part below the notch snapped off on one of them The spring did what springs do and flew off and bounced into Lake Michigan in the dark. Maybe I will see if I can thread the slip tube now that this bit of plastic is gone.The only reason I didn’t give these a 1 star was for the Led light, beyond that, I don’t see these lasting too long in my kit.

I shoot muzzle loading rifles and shotguns. The Nite Brite is a great bore light. for guns that are only open at the muzzle. No matter the caliber, just slide it down the barrel and it fits. It lights more than enough to show you how clean the muzzle loader is, or how the rifling is on an older gun.

Meets a need. I am not using it for its intended purpose. So far it works great for what I need. The tip must be pressed in or pulled out a snap to activate and turn off. Can be challenging until you get used to it. I like it as a little tool belt emergency light for attic work.

This has always been over priced and I cant think of a single time using it as a spring bobber worked. It tended to slide off the line during casts or after a bite. As a slip bobber it works ok but the lights have a tendency at times to be a bit of a pain to turn on. I broke a few because they can get kind of stuck when they are off.

Excellent bore light for small caliber as well as large caliber muzzleloaders. Light is bright and longlasting . The only minus is that i wish the light was white instead of yellow. It is compact and lightweight and has been a long lime coming. Up till now the bore lights available would only drop into the bore of .45 caliber or larger. This little gem will slide easily into a .gun as small as .22. I highly recommend this product.

This bobber is amazing!! It splits open and you can insert battery lights inside that work all night. I used it once and only one bite on this bobber that night. Its really bright even with one light only so I'm not sure if I scared fish away but surely could see it easier then any other bobber at night.

Almost $11 for just a battery when I look at the picture and read about it I thought I was supposed to get the bobber also. Sorry yellow is not that special.

The reason I gave it a 4-star. Because the little slit to put the fishing line through has got so many Jagged edges did it rips the line after a few uses. I did have a problem when it came the light only lasted about an hour not even however they dealt with it very quickly when I mentioned it and are sending me a new one free of charge.

The package came opened and was missing the battery despite the packaging having a clear inset to hold a battery. As a lighted float it is completely useless without a battery!
