Beautiful!
These walnut butcher block counter tops are beautiful! There are imperfections on the bottoms, which I expected. The tops are perfect! I needed specific sizes to retrofit an old kitchen with an awkward, unusable wall with no cabinets. I bought the 12” top to set on a rolling cart in the corner so that both sides of the stove would look more cohesive. I added some feet to it, so it can be moved and used elsewhere as a charcuterie board or whatnot. Also it raised it to the height I was looking for. I also bought the 30” top to use on a 24” cabinet with 6” of overhang to place a rolling spice rack under. I treated them with both the oil and the paste, but I’m honestly really careful about not making a mess on these because I don’t want to ruin the appearance of them. They did bleed a brown stain when first applying the oil and paste, but I don’t notice any bleeding of color anymore. The pictures were taken after 3 months of use. Nice product!

Beautiful work as always. Inadequately packed for shipping; it’s heavy and the inclination is to heave it around. Happily, I have a woodworker who will glue it back together.

So far I absolutely love this block! I had no issues with shipping or damage but I also ordered a smaller piece than other reviewers. I am installing it next to a stove so I am a little concerned about how the heat will affect it but so far no complaints!

Like many others that have commented, mine had a film left on it from the oil process. I had to wipe it down a few times to get it to stop staining my hands when I touched it.I wouldn't use this near food because there are multiple gaps in the middle of the board's top, which will be impossible to clean. The backside is definitely not finished and the inclusion of a giant sticker was a nice bonus I had to clean off.Live and learn I guess.

Misinformed!
Did not meet our needs....had to return because we expected something larger. At the time we read 12 feet, it was suppose to read 12 inched.However, as a cutting board, it looked beautiful.
