A gripping court room drama with a subject that was never touched in Telugu.
Sira is a compassionate tale of young teenagers who committed suicide due to stress & depression caused by unethical practices and procedures of a pre university college (intermediate) named SIRA. The story is set in a legal backdrop, where an young and dynamic law graduate goes against his dearest mentor to defend the students who lost their lives due to the brutal practices of SIRA.Though there are some monotonous moments, as the story moves towards the core plot, it thickens and makes it an unputdownable novel. The data and facts presented as a part of story are astonishing and shows the hardwork and research made by the author and his attention to details is commendable. There are some really hard hitting lines in each chapter that will stay with you and affect you. This is a must read novel for everyone. Especially for parents who force their kids into a rat race irrespective of their wishes and teachers who are seldom empathetic to their students.

Great book on a contemporary issue in Telugu
The book tells exactly whats wrong with a few chain of junior colleges (10 +2 in Telugu states) which have the greatest share of students in the states. They lure the parents showing the illusive bright future and make the 16-17 year old kids study for 16 hours a day for 2 years. This books gives the exact impressions of the real accounts of struggles, structural flaws of these institutions, parents' unrealistic expectations on their children and the colleges and of course a great courtroom drama highlighting the very much needed contemporary issue that was always due.Raj Madiraju has made a spectacular debut into the almost dying Telugu print media with a serious yet gripping and much necessary book on this societal issue.

A must read !!
A gripping tale written in a simple and elegant manner. While the context of two intelligent lawyers and the courtroom has been used as the back drop, this novel is as a sad reflection of some of the ills that plagued our education system and a skewed definition that is attributed to the word “Success”.There are plenty of episodes in this novel that brings tears to your eyes. If you are a kid born in the 80s / 90s in the telugu speaking states, you will connect with the characters of Munna and Adarsh.A must read!!
