I was worried about how well these would fit my 1" barbell. I've seen reviews on other clamps similar, and they said that they slip and don't truly fit the barbell. I've not had that problem - these are fantastic. So much better than the metal clamps that are a pain in the rear to out on and take off. The plastic material has been surprisingly sturdy and seems made well. They lock tight and don't budge. I plan to buy at least 1 more set. Great value!

I reviewed these on an earlier pair I bought, expressing disappointment they didn't fit one of my bars, but was fine on the other four. I suspect this single bar was mismanufactured, with a slightly larger diameter than called for, hence was unable to accommodate these collars. One broke, so I ordered this pair to replace that one, plus have an extra on hand. I really like the way these function, compared to a different type I used for years. Despite the fact they didn't fit one of my bars, and one of the collars broke, I'll still continue to use and recommend them, as they're relatively inexpensive.

Excatly what I needed. Fits perfect.

Needed some clamps for a new set that came with an Olympic sleeve and clamp over a 1" bar. Removed the Olympic sleeve and needed a 1" clamp. Worked fine, seems to hold tight. 50-50 on whether easier than the same type spring metal clamp (that are cheaper) which require a good grip. These take some force to close. The advantage is you can just slide them, then clamp. The Spring type clips require a firm grip and a long slide to the right spot. These just slide then clamp. Worth the slight extra cost, in my opinion

I like the first set I purchased of these so much, that I ended up buying for more just because they work so well and I am so lazy. So here’s the count: one set for each dumbbell (2), one set for the curl bar, one set for the overhead lat attachment, and one for the leg lift attachment. I have of course purchased different colors just for fun. I have 1 inch straight ends and 1 inch threaded ends, for which these work amazingly well. I’m not putting a whole lot of weight on the dumbbells and I’m also not tossing them around at all sorts of angles or jerking them about. The threaded metal collars that came with the dumbbells were constantly slipping, even with only 2.5 pounds on each end where these are really solid. If I ever got to the point where the weight didn’t feel solid on the dumbbells, I’d use a combination the original metal screw on holders and then these. So it would be weight plate, metal screw on holders, and then these clamps to prevent slipping.

They do what they are supposed to. Clamp tight on the bar.,

Clamps fit over dumbell bars very well; locking them took some effort, however, the plates were very secure. In all, easy to use for a safe work-out and a great value. Even more so when compared to spring steel clamps which are difficult to install and remove or those held in place by bolts or t-handles that loosen over time and become unsafe.

Works well except after a months use one of the rubber inside piece came out. I can stick it back in and it still works fine just annoying that I need to pay attention to when it falls out.
