Great read and beautiful artwork encompassing post Yavin 4 Rebellion. Preludes to the finding of Hoth Base. Looking forward to reading the next set.

Great read. Fun comic. I recommend to all Star Wars fans.

The first few stories included in this volume are interesting and worth reading for any Star Wars fan (the art for these stories is mediocre to poor), but the real reason to buy this for the Star Wars (2013) #1-12 arc. It was excellent: the story included all our favorite characters form Episode IV (and they were written well and true to the characters), it was fast-paced, gave some insight into the Rogue Squadron, and I *loved* the art. Hopefully the next Rebellion Epic Collection volume includes the rest of this series!

Great stories from long ago and far away!

Love this graphic novel The beginning takes place immediately after the Battle of Yavin. Vader reached a remote planet with an imperial base. But he had to crash land some distance from the base. He was alone in the wild. As cut off from technology as a cyborg can ever be. All he had to survive was His Suit, His Blade, and The Force. The following stories have Vader seeking the identity of the Rebel Pilot who'd destroyed the Death Star. Then becoming obsessed from the moment he learned the pilot had been named Skywalker. What follows has many adventures with Luke, Leia, and Han. Has all 3 growing in strength and experience, and growing closer each step of the way. Also has vivid examples of how Imperial Soldiers, Officials, Civilians, and Rebels reacted to the Destruction of the Death Star. Wide variety of reactions from all of them. Finally this shows the intricacies of the Sith Master and Apprentice relationship. Between The Emperor and Vader was a complex series of deceit, treachery, concealment, manipulation, power struggles, and hatred. Sidious praised and admired Vader's for it, while simultaneously condemning him for it.

Brilliantly collected series that pulls together a coherent storyline of the Rebellion after Yavin. It makes sense of the personal stories and priorities of the different factions, and humanizes the players. For those who didn't follow the comics when they came out and couldn't make sense of the order later, these collections are wonderful.

Loved the creative arc throughout. The art was amazing. Several times I was left with a feeling of WOW! It was touched by the authors’ kiss. I always have a soft spot for Wedge Antillies and Rogue Squadron though. Go them!

Do you like illustrated novels? Like Star Wars? Who doesn't? This is the Marvel Epic Collection Star Wars The Rebellion which is 504 packed pages of Rebellion stories featuring all the usual characters and many more. This is a more modern collection from 1999 upto 2013. You can tell by the artwork, it's very good, and you can see progression in just 14 years. Well recommended if you like Star Wars.
