Q: How much weight can this item hold?

As long as you put it on properly (Mine is to a conductor's stand), I have put as much as four books and several pieces of music on it - Way more than I thought I would use but I have gotten very comfortable with using it. Very versatile and useful!

I have had over 3lbs on the small table.
