I just received the red comforter today. It is exactly what I wanted! It really is more of a wine color..think a lighter color Cabernet. I've had many down comforters over the years and I agree with the comment about being the BEST comforter. It is very similar to one I owned years ago that I literally wore out. This is very lightweight, more like a down blanket. Better for us, we don't like the feeling of being weighed down, plus the toes hurt as you get older.But, down comforters can absolutely be machine washed. Use cold water, a little fabric softener and be sure to dry with a tennis ball or two to fluff. Laundromat dryers are better because they are bigger and gives the comforter more room to move around and fluff. Another tip is, to make the most of the insulating properties, when you put your comforter on your bed, if your bedroom is away from your thermostat, open your bedroom window (the colder the better), shut the bedroom door and air the comforter for several hours. You will be amazed how much even a lightweight down will loft. The more loft, the warmer it becomes.Hope this helps for all those that are nervous about ordering one.

This is a lightweight but warm comforter. Sleeping under it, I feel like there is nothing there, but I don't get cold. I like the striped brown pattern, and the coverage on my king-size bed is excellent. The fill has stayed in place, though I have not washed it yet, so that may change. One drawback for which I removed one star is that this comforter sheds tiny feathers. I find the feathers on the floor, in my sheets, and in the lint catcher of my dryer after washing said sheets.

I love the color of this comforter but the down (?) pokes through the fabric so you see white among the beautiful red color of the comforter! I like the weight of the comforter but would think twice about buying.

I have been using this comforter every night in all seasons for two years (I live in a moderate climate). When it was new it shed the rare feather. Over time it has developed a rather severe feather shedding problem. Now I find them everywhere in my room. Luckily I have a powerful HEPA filter that sucks up most of them. I have treated the comforter with care. I am not a rough sleeper, and I do not sit on it. I have debated washing it: would the weave of the fabric tighten and reduce shedding, or will the comforter lose feathers in the wash?

The comforter feels great and looks greats. It's not as heavy as I thought it was in the picture. Cause I'm the picture it looks a lot fuller. But the reviews best describe the comforter and helped with the purchase. But for that price can't complain.

This is everything I hoped it would be, very warm in the winter (but not too warm) we keep our heat at 65 during the night, I tried going lower and as everything from the neck down stays warm, the air is too cold for me to sleep comfortably for me. My only worry is that this will be too warm in the summer time, but for now I am giving this a 5 star during winter!

The comforter is quite nice. That said, it is NOT 104 x 88, as stated in the title. The vendor has changed the description other places in the advertisement since I complained, but the title still lists the wrong size. I bought this to use as a duvet insert, and it is larger, so it does not fit my 104 x 88 duvet cover--the whole reason for buying it. When returning it became a hassle, I finally gave it away to a friend who likes it very much. It didn't work for me, but it's still a good product. Customer service from this vendor is not so good.
