Apparently it is made in China. I didn't know that but when it came it is well done with the western look. Had I known I would have passed it over, however, it met my expectations so it's your call.

Q: Would it hold a checkbook?

It does if you slide it in by the phone pouch or it will lay in the zipper between the card sections.

Q: Can you please offer a longer strap????? i removed the one it came with and thankfully i had a longer strap from another crossbody that i attached.
