This chair is great! Just what i wanted. The softer brown tones with some red details and textures fit very well into our not so formal living area. It works so well in the room with the woodstove. If you are looking for a recliner that does not looks so "recliner-ish" then this is the chair. It is not oversized but still has its cushions are very supportive and comfortable. I like the higher back and how top cushion has extra padding to make it even more supportive when leaning back. I am 5'11" and can sit in it comfortably and my feet do not hang over the footrest so that's good. Plenty of room for my height. I find it very comfortable. It works well and seems a good value for the quality. Assembly was a breeze. Only thing of a slight negative is out of the box the recliner seemed loose to me. I have tightened the tensioning screws and still a bit loose so will have to do more. I like to remain in the 1/2 reclined position and if the screws are not adjusted the seat will recline on its own to full recline if you put pressure on the back. I wish there was a way to "lock" it in the 1/2 reclined position. I am still working on finding the right tension with the screws to keep it more in the 1/2 reclined position. But otherwise, it's a great and comfortable chair. Perfect for what I needed.

Sturdy, elegant, as a recliner enthusiast, this is the best I’ve ever owned. Easy to assemble, thoughtfully packaged. No cranks or buttons, simply lean back to activate recline motion, whether a little or a lot. We have a thick carpet but that doesn’t hinder the flip out footrest mechanism, unlike our old one. The cushions are very firm, the material seems well made and heavy. Very, very pleased!

This chair is much better looking than the picture. It's always difficult to tell from a small picture on a computer screen if the colors will coordinate with the rest of the furniture in my room. At a distance it does look like a warm, rich brown, but it has several shades of brown and black with highlights that are slightly gold and rust... no green or red undertones. I tried to get good close-ups of the upholstery so you can see how many different colors there are. On my screen my photos look like there is some green, but it think it's more a combo of the yellow/gold next to black threads that come out looking like green in a flash picture. It's too dark and gloomy outside this time of year to get a good daylight picture. The chair is actually a little darker and richer looking than the Amazon picture which was what I hoped for. It seems like good quality upholstery with a tight weave that should wear well. The pattern and colors will hide spots and spills... but maybe not white cat hair! I really like the style. It looks like a nice upholstered chair that doesn't scream recliner! I've never liked the looks of recliners and didn't want a recliner in my living room. I broke my arm 8 months ago and had to sleep sitting up in a makeshift nest of pillows in the corner of the couch with feet propped up on the ottoman. It was too soft to be very comfortable or easy to get out of it with a painful right arm. Unfortunately my arm has not healed so I'm due to have surgery in a couple of weeks. Again, I will need to sleep sitting up. The cushion of this recliner is firm enough to to be supportive and it makes it easier to get out of. The back has pretty good lumbar support . There is padding on the footrest which is comfortable for a few hours. I may need a pillow under my knees to sleep through the night. I needed a chair that reclines without a handle (remember...broken right arm... I'm right handed of course) It reclines fairly easily, but getting the footrest down is a little tricky. Need to press down with the legs while pulling forward on the arm. It may prove difficult with an arm in a sling and a sore hip (where the bone graft will be taken from). I'll update this post after I've had to sleep in the recliner for a while. So far I love this chair and am contemplating buying a second. Good buy for the money.

My son assembled this for me in about 20 minutes, very easy. The chair itself is a great addition to my bedroom for those lazy mornings you just aren’t ready for people yet. The fabric is much more attractive in person than on the site. It is a little coarse though, so I gave it a little lower rating than I would have the other way since it’s an interesting sensation on the skin. If you are looking for a non-recliner looking recliner, this is a great bet. Even as a shorter person (5’2”), the footrest is good, which can sometimes be an issue. If you want it, I say go for it!

Arrived well packaged. Easy to assemble and adjust tension. High enough for me and very well built. The seat and back are very firm,which is what i was looking for, and the fabric is very pretty. Great price for a very nice chair.

It's all that it claimed to be. Some review stated it was for a small person. Not so ! I am 5'6", weigh 220 lbs and my leg length is 28". It is beautiful as most people claimed it was. The colors are dark brown, lighter brown, and a small amount of a dark red or burgundy but just a very little amount of that. Some review said the footrest was too short, it hit me at the bottom of my heels. It might be for a longer legged person. I find it easy to get out of and YES-Their is a zipper on the back top pillow if anyone would like to add or take out stuffing. Yes-It also has a zipper in the back of the attached cushion. Someone may have paid a cheaper price for this chair but it is well worth the amount I paid for it. I have been looking a retail stores and they are more expensive and have a 6-10 week delay for wanting a different fabric then the one they stock. I am old, I do not want to wait. My feet just touch the floor when not using the footrest. I need to keep the chair about 6 inches from the wall to recline in position 2. Being my room is small and I wish to fully reline that chair, I have bought some glue-on leg sliders and I will leave them attached so I can easily slide it away from the wall if I want it in the 3rd position (totally flat) for resting or sleeping. The fabric won't show dirt and if some people reviewed not liking it, they should perhaps order linen, velvet, or microfiber. So far I am totally happy and I've bought lots of chairs. Lots!

leans to far back, i am average height, but my feet barely touch the ground, and the shape of the chair causes me to slouch back, making it difficult to read a book, Since i bought these with out trying the...no one had one in stock anywhere, i have only my self to blame, My wife however is very happy with them

I'm very happy with this purchase. I went by the reviews and what pictures were available. This is a quality built chair. It's rated for 350lbs, Lazy kid is 300lbs. This does not "look" like a recliner. I'm 5' 11" and 275lbs. This chair fits me perfect. Delivery was 1 day late, tracking on Amazon was horrible. Had to copy and paste the tracking number and do a search. With the minor issues aside, this chair is 100% awesome. It looks amazing as is the quality. Yeah, it has a hefty price tag, but the reason is you're buying a great chair. I paired this with rustic brown industrial furniture and it blends right in. Comes in a HUGE box! About 115lbs total? Comes with the "back" of the chair off. The legs you have to screw on ( make sure the curved legs go in the back ) and goes together fairly quick. I put 2" square furniture sliders on the feet so it can slide on the carpet. I also added a chair cover.

This chair exceeded all expectations. Quality of constuction, comfort, ease of assembly, fabric quality, etc. True to image as advertised. The speed of processing my order and delivery was outstanding! 1 week from the time of order was all it took to come from California to Orillia, ON, Can. I am unable to comment on durability since I just received it but am so impressed, I immediately ordered a second one.

These chairs are everything they were advertised to be. Very rich looking chairs and so comfortable. I purchased two and if they send me another one for free I WOULD KEEP IT TOO. oh DID i mention we love them.

Would buy again. I'm just over 6'1" so tall seat height just right, for me.. Little darker in color than pix dsclose. Low arm height important to me. .Great experience with product supplier as I originally purchased online directly through their USA website but due to unknown actual $US to $Can exchange and usual additional credit card upcharges for their exchange effort the bottom line delivered price was an unknown; they gladly cancelled and I purchased through Amazon.ca and, of course, pricing was as stated in $Can. Chair shipped from California and arrived very quickly, safely packaged. Attached the legs - front are different than the rear - and slid top into base. No tools required - other than to open box. Seat is firm-solid construction, so, hoping to get many years use out of this chair.

Well upholstered, comfortable recliner. Rich brown colour. Quiet operation. Very sturdy. We are very pleased with the purchase.
