Great design, make sure you get the latest batch (produced after Oct '13)
Just like several other reviewers have noted this is a nicely looking product. When it worked I liked it a lot, but then (approx. after a month) the timer got stuck on a 2-3 min mark and wouldn't shut off. What this means? The unit continues heating up your milk/baby food leading to higher than desired temperature. I have contacted Kiinde customer service and promptly received a replacement unit (sent original one back). The timer design looked slightly different which gave me hope. Replacement worked for a few months and exactly the same problem developed -- the timer stops working and wouldn't shut off the heating process. I decided to give the company another chance to make it right. The third replacement unit lasted the longest (about 3-4 months) and as you might have already guessed the timer broke again. Kiinde: the timer is one of the core functions of this product. How hard can it be to find a reliable supplier who would produce working timers for your bottle warmers?! It is really a shame that I can't recommend this product to any of my friends or Amazon shoppers. :( UPDATE. November '13. Just received latest version of the bottle warmer. Everything works great. We noticed that this warmer heats up milk a lot faster than previous models (what used to take 13-15min now takes 8-9). I'll post update on timer functionality in a month. Bumping up stars for outstanding customer support by Kiinde. UPDATE#2. February '14. Latest unit keeps working flawlessly. I'm bumping up to 5 stars since Kiinde stands behind their products and that they finally fixed timer part. Kiinde customer service is outstanding.

Great warmer - wish I would have bought this first! Update: Company stands behind its product!
***Update: After 8 months of heavy daily use, the timer stopped working reliably. I contacted the company via their website, and after filling out a problem report, they are shipping out a new one. Customer service is extremely important in any product which is more expensive than the competition, and this does not disappoint. In all fairness, it's not easy to engineer a product that handles this combination of conditions with longevity. Electricity, tap water, heat, spilled food, mineral buildup, etc - it's tough to make it last.*** We do a mixture of breast-feeding and formula supplementation, and for starters I bought a Philips AVENT Express Food and Bottle Warmer as a respectable trade off between quality of reviews and cost. This worked okay, but I found myself running into a few problems. The Avent warmer gets very hot - which heats things quickly, but makes timing all the more important. If you forget to set a timer, or have to address something (like a screaming/pooping baby) it is very easy for your bottle to get overheated. In a persistent state of sleep deprivation, this is very easy to do. This is at least an annoyance, and potentially quite dangerous. The other problem is forgetting to turn it off, which leads to wasted energy, all the water evaporating, rapid buildup of mineral deposits, and this is all to say nothing of a significant degree of faith in the auto-shutoff to keep from burning the house down. The Kiinde Kozii really addresses most all of these things quite well. The heating occurs on a timer, and the water itself isn't as hot. The water is circulated by pump, which compensates somewhat for the lower temp of the water bath. When the timer shuts off, the heating stops. Caveats: The Kozii does take about 1-3 minutes longer than the Avent warmer. You have to more carefully manage water levels in the Kozii (I keep a small container of water next to it for little top-ups) There is apparently a safety mechanism which kills the device permanently if you let it run completely dry 3 times. The flipside argument is that you would have to be quite oblivious for this to happen, as even a slightly low water level causes all manner of bubbling sounds. Price - this is the main reason I didn't bite on this from the beginning. It seemed excessive and frankly a bit nuts to spend this much on something that could be done with a much cheaper device. Arguments to this effect are still valid, but I think that in the balance, you could skip a few of the cute newborn outfits your baby will outgrow in a few days, and put the money into this instead. It doesn't quite hold the same emotional gravitas as the bunny onesie, but you will thank yourself repeatedly at midnight, 2am, 4am, etc... when you are feeding the baby safely instead of throwing out the liquid gold your wife pumped and you somehow managed to cook in the lesser warmer.

Only lasts 3 months
When we first bought this bottle warmer, it lasted a few months and it stopped working. We liked it so we decided to get another one in May. And the second one stopped working today and it is August. I will not order it again and I do not recommend this product.

Works with ANY CONTAINER OR BOTTLE, and works WONDERFULLY!
So, I had to go back to work part time when the kiddo was 3 weeks old, and my husband would be primary caretaker on those days, using pumped breastmilk. I told him I was going to order a bottle-warmer for him to use. He said he didn't need one. :o) After one day of trying to heat up the bottle the old fashioned way, with a demanding kid in one arm, he acknowledged he needed a bottle warmer. This one seemed pricey, but also had the best reviews, and seemed to be the only one that would work with the bottles we liked best (Como Tomo). It also has the advantage of using the "spa" method, where it creates a little vortex of perfect temperature water to heat up the milk without any danger of denaturing the proteins or overheating. It is totally worth the money!! We received it quickly (2 days!), and it works so easily and wonderfully! My own mother is ecstatic over how easy it is to use, and how well it works! It basically just has a timer on front, and once you determine the right time for your amount of milk in your bottles, you are good to go! When we received it, we used regular cow milk as our test substance, and tried it out from refrigerator and from freezer. (As an example, for my bottles, Como Tomo 250 ml, it takes 6.5 minutes to warm 2 oz of milk from refrigerator. It takes 20 to warm from frozen, so I usually put frozen milk (from Sensible Lines Milk Trays) in bottle night before, stick in fridge, and let it thaw that way). But, because of the way it works, it can accomodate any container, from breast milk frozen in bags, to other bottles, to even a glass I used to warm cream for my coffee (just testing). It never overheats the milk, and nothing ever spills. This actually also travels really easily, Just hold it upside down over a sink to drain out the water, and put it in the car. We have taken with us to grandmother's house for long weekends. I do usually use filtered or distilled water in it, just to make it easier to clean when the time comes. This has been one of my best baby purchases, worth every penny!

I Kind of love my Kiinde Kozzi
These are the comments I read on a couple of blogs. "In the time it takes for the bottle warmer to do its job you could have warmed the water up in a microwave, fed the baby, and rocked the baby back to sleep." " Look, I don't deny not liking "stuff" around -- a clutter-free space is zen to me -- but this just really doesn't seem necessary. What ever happened to hot water? We still use old-school fire to heat our food, what's wrong with using old-school water to heat her food?" Well, when it is 3 AM in the morning and the baby is crying, you want to make your life as simple as possible, so yeah I love the bottle warmer. Our first Kozii stopped working after 8 weeks, we were able to return and I ordered a new one. I really missed it for that day while we were waiting for the new one to arrive. So, how does this work you simply drop your bottle turn the dial to the desired time. The Kozzi will fill with water from the reservoir underneath, the water bubbles like a hot tub. Your milk will be warmed to a perfect temperature in minutes. How long does it take? Well, 4 ounces takes about 5.5 minutes. Pro: It is attractive and compact Easy to operate Gently warms the milk with destroying nutrients. Con: Works a little slow with Comoto bottles. Durability ours broke after 8 weeks.

Kozii Comes Through!
After researching a lot of bottle warmers on Amazon and wondering which one would best meet our needs, I purchased the Kozi from Amazon.com and am thrilled with how well it has performed. The reviewers who gave it high marks were correct. Using this bottle warmer is as simple as 1. unpacking it 2. filling it with the prescribed quantity of water in the reservoir and 3. turning the dial to the desired time. The size of the container is adequate for at least the Medela milk bottles (what we use) and I love the fact that the warmer as a hidden reservoir of water which rises when the warmer is working and subsides and disappears when it is not. The heating is very even, although I like to shake the bottle every minute or so to prevent hotpsots from forming (even though doing that is not required), the water rises exactly to the level of the milk in the bottle and no more. I have on occasion warmed up a frozen milk bag =(Lansinoh) which was frozen while laying flat, so it is as wide as can possibly be, and it fits perfectly. There is an overflow mechanism which ensures that water never flows out of the Kozi and instead flows back into the reservoir. The product is designed very well, and works just as designed. The build quality is sturdy and I don't see any reason why this product won't last for years (it's a different matter than it would outlive its usefulness in our lives in a year or so). The 3 things I do to take care of it are 1. place a small dish or lid on it when it is not being used (to prevent dust), 2 keep the water level from dropping below the easy to read water mark (once every few days) and 3. clean it every 2-3 weeks to by emptying out the water (turning it upside down over a sink), adding a drop of dish soap or a pump of the foam and refilling the water reservoir and gently swirling it around, then emptying it out...repeating until the last of the soapy water is out). It comes with clear, well written instructions on how to operate, maintain and troubleshoot it. I have not had to reset it so far and hope I never have to. The Kozi is working extremely well and will not disappoint you if warming milk bottles and bags is the only use you intend to put it through.

Very high maintenance and not super reliable after 2 months.
We've used this product for 2 months with mixed feelings. When we first got it after our baby was born, it felt extremely convenient - baby starts crying and your ready to feed in 5 mins! But after two months of use, and getting better at "predicting" when the baby needs to eat, its not as necessary considering all the other hassle that goes along with this product. The good: - When it works well, it gets the milk warm in 5-6 mins, and cuts down the waiting time considerably. The bad: - You have to clean it every 2 days, and descale every month. Considering all the stuff you have to do when you have a baby, this just adds to that and all its really doing is swirling warm water around the bottle. - Stops working well after a month regardless of how well you clean it (milk doesn't get as warm, takes longer, water stops rising) Other points: - Expensive (is it really worth the price, considering it has a manual timer and just swirls warm water around the bottle?) - Other alternatives seem to be worse (don't work as well, more maintenance), so this seems to be the "best" of all the available ones - Cleaning regularly is required if you don't want to break it (wash with soap & water every 2 days, and descale with vinegar and water every month) - May be easier to just let the milk warm in a bowl of warm water for 20 mins and coordinate warming the milk before your baby starts cueing. You'll end up using this method anyway when the warmer randomly stops works. - Overall not very impressed with a "machine" which has such a simple job to do.

Works great with some creative tweaks
I bought the Kozii warmer in March 2012 when it had about 20 reviews; now there are 88 so I'm a bit late to the game. However, I learned a few things that seem worth pointing out. Pros: 1. Simple twist timer that counts down like the heater timers in hotel bathrooms. You can't screw up. Put a bit too much time on? Just pull the bottle out early, you can't burn yourself. Not enough time? Just turn a bit more. I had to return a Dr. Brown's Bottle Warmer because the digital timer kept resetting itself to random values. 2. Wide opening, fits Comotomo and other fat bottles - the heating tub is a shade larger than 3.5" in diameter. 3. Doesn't scream "I'm a breastmilk bottle warmer!" Sits unobtrusively next to your Kitchenaid as if every kitchen has one. As if your house isn't a shrine to the gods of rainbow plastic already. Cons: 1. No bell or buzzer to let you know when the timer is done. This would be nice, because the water doesn't drain back into the reservoir until the time goes absolutely down to zero, so you pull up a wet bottle if you get impatient, which you will. 2. You have to optimize how much you fill the reservoir for the average container you will heat. If you sometimes heat fat bottles (which need very little water, or else the tub will overflow) and sometimes thin tubes Medela Breastmilk Freezing & Storage (*BPA Free) 12 Pack of 80ml Bottles in Retail Packaging #87061 , the water level won't reach the top of the small-volume container if you've filled the reservoir to optimize for the larger one. This means milk fat which sticks to the top sides of a thin tube won't melt, as it would in a steam heater. Two solutions: a) Buy some inexpensive bead bracelets to toss in with the small tube. They make up some volume so water comes up higher. If they're teething bracelets, it kills two birds with one stone. If they're cute and you'll wear them, same deal. b) Freeze the tubes upside down so the fat is at the bottom when you put it in the warmer. 3. I thought I'd heat baby food in this too, but now when my kid (8.5 months old) is hungry he doesn't care if his food is hot or cold as long as you or he keeps shoveling it into his mouth. So I've used it for about 6 months. If you're seduced by Comotomo bottles as well, you're spending a pretty penny on the perfect (if you consider pumping perfect) breastmilk solution, but with an 8.5 month old I now realize that money is a drop in the bucket. :) I will pass the whole kaboodle along to a friend; that's the benefit of high quality.

Conserva los nutrientes de la leche materna
Excelente producto.

Great bottle warmer, great service!
I had this product for 7 months now, we are using it 5-7 times a day and until now it worked perfectly. Unfortunately the timer broke today, I contacted Kiine Kozii and hope for a fast and easy resolution. We will see how it goes. I find glass bottles heat much faster and the estimated time given by the company is exact. With plastic bottles (Tommy Tippee) it took much more time even though we did everything as described in the manual. We really loved this bottle warmer until today, and it the resolution with the timer goes well I will certainly give it a 5 Stars and recommend it to a friend! Update: So on less than a week I received a new one by express mail. They contacted me after instructing to simply discard the old one. That was absolutely amazing service, effective and professional. They really stand by their products and I would definitely buy again from Kiinde Kozii.

Overpriced!
It took 12-15 minutes to heat up 6 oz. I now have a $20 warmer that safely heats in 4 minutes. A huge difference with a hungry baby! Seemed to be well made but i feel that with its poor performance it is very over priced. I sent mine back and baby and I are much happier with cheap bottle warmer :)
