New Samsung TV Replaced Remote BN59-01178W BN59 01178W

This is the remote that came with the Samsung UN24H4500. As a replacement this one works perfectly on the 2014 model and I found it works on other Samsung TV's.I also have the Samsung UN50KU6300 that came with a Samsung Smart Remote. Most of its functions are on screen through menus. I found that the remote from the UN24H4500 works perfectly on the 50 inch. I found the Smart Remote was not as convenient to use. This replacement remote allows you to enter channel #'s directly and some of the specialized keys like eManual & CC take you directly to those items without the multiple key presses the Smart Remote requires. This makes this replacement much easier to use. The trade off is a larger multiple keyed remote versus the smaller Smart Remote. One plus is you are less likely to misplace or lose the larger remote.If you find the Smart Remote a bit complex and want a standard remote that will work on the 2016 UN50KU6300 this is the replacement for you.

I received this remote very quickly; and it worked straight out of the box. I did not have to enter any code or anything, like some other reviews mentioned. Only thing different from the original Samsung remote (that got wet) is the word Samsung at the bottom.

Replacement for lost original. Looks exactly the same and works the same good value

After our “Mover” lost our original this was our answer to it! Insert batteries and away we went. Price sure was attractive and added batteries and it worked right away

Works straight out of the box. Not a hitch. Makes you wonder why the OEM remotes sell for 3 to 4 times the price of this one.

Our original remote went bad suddenly. The OEM replacment works perfectly. We are so glad to have it. No Netflix, etc. without it!

Its not working as expected.

I shouldn't have had to buy this. Over the years, I've had countless devices that lived a normal lifetime, then failed while the remote was still good.When it became obvious that the remote wasn't going to work at all, I ordered what should have been a direct replacement. It did everything it was supposed to do. I suppose I should give this a higher rating, but I shouldn't have had to buy it in the first place.
