I picked this up because I got into cross-stitch again when I was in lock down during COVID so thought that this kit would let me build on my limited sewing skills.In the kit you get 3 pre-printed designs on material, one embroidery hoop, scissors, 2 needles with each design and a needle threader plus the relevant threads.I found the stitches challenging as I was coming at them as a complete novice so it would probably help you to use some practice material first but after reading the instructions and watching some YouTube videos, I got the hang of it and found it very absorbing. The designs are very pretty and I did feel very accomplished as I got them completed.My main negative comment is that I ended up using one of my own sewing hoops as I found that the one provided did not fit flush and kept slipping as I was trying to use it, which was a bit frustrating.For the price though - £8.99 at the time of review - I thought that this was really good value and it’s really made me want to keep on with my embroidery and build and improve on my skills. On that basis, if you’re looking for a Christmas present for a budding crafter or something to give to someone who wants to get back into the craft, then I think this is a solid kit that is well worth a purchase.

The last time I had a needle and thread in my hands was about 45 years ago! When I struggled to thread the needle, I realised I was in for a challenge. I found it difficult to figure out the different stitches and ended up making a right mess, so I had to unthread the flowers and start over.I was attracted to the kit by the beauty of the designs. I had this ambitious idea when ordering that framed; they would make excellent Christmas presents.I found setting up was straightforward, so I dived right in but realised now that I should have got a spare piece of material and did some practice to learn the stitches first. I would have had much less frustration that way.The colours of the threads are rich and make for beautiful embroidery. I do love this set and am learning to take my time and stop getting frustrated. This is a perfect hobby for the dark winter nights, or indeed, an excellent gift for someone.

This is a fantastic set of 3 embroidery kits, i would say these are mostluly suitable for an improving beginner.There are 3 pre-printed images with all the required threads and instructions for sewing, these are a little limited but clear enough and easy to follow. This kit is nice quality and comes with a small selection of sewing accessories but only includes 1 embroidery hoop, this is a bamboo wooden one, if you wanted to leave the finished images in the hoop for display/hanging you will need to buy a couple more.£11.99 (at the time of review) working out about £4 each i think is good value but would have liked 3 embroidery hoops included, no big deal though as there is one at least. Would make a nice gift for a novice sewing fan to improve skills and creativity, the finished designs are simple but really lovely.

I got this for my wife who is an avid crafter and she has given me her thoughts on this embroidery kit for the review.I was very impressed by the kit, it has everything here you really need to start with. The three designs may not be to everyone's liking but there is probably something here for everyone and for what you get in the kit they work out to be excellent value for money.I probably did this kind of crafting in school and my early twenties but haven't undertaken anything like this for a long while so this kit was ideal for me to start back with needlework.The instructions were clear and easy to follow explaining the types of stiches needed.Overall this is a good quality kit with good thread and printed canvas. I really enjoyed completing the designs and would happily recommend this to those new to embroidery.

I love this set of 3 it arrives in a clear bag that's resealable and inside each kit is individually wrapped.You also get 1 hoop ,1 safety scissors and 1 needle threader.In each kit is 2 needles and all the cotton neatly labelled. There is also clear instructions with reminders of what each stitch looks like.All the colours are vibrant and easy to work withThe pics is printed and can be washed away after stitching completed.This is a great value set and I am really pleased with it but I think it's bit hard for beginners like me . I had to watch you tube and its taking me ages to complete . I think it would suit someone wanted to get back into embroidery
