Very impressed for what it cost, its not a heavy duty unit however for a small to medium domestic lawn its perfect, after all it will not be used that often so a heavy duty expensive machine is not what I wanted. it works very well. Recommended.

The tool is very good can be a bit violent if not set on right height in use at moment looks as doing what I required

Thoroughly impressed with this piece of garden kit. Very easy to follow assembly instruction, with a choice of the Scarifier to pull out all the moss and dead grass, leaving a small trench couple of mm wide for the reseeding process. This is then easily swapped for the Aerator. Folds away neatly so not too much space taken up in the garden shed!

Do not buy this is you are looking for a machine that spikes (Aerates) your lawn. It does not. It can not. It will rake your garden. It will (not very well) scarify the lawn. It won't spike it and it should not be described as aerator.

First off the good : cheap, easy assembly, lightweight & easy to use. Switching from the aerator to the scarifier took less that a few minutes. Powerful, made light work of moss and churned up a LOT of thatch!The less good : tiny collector - only 30l. I trialed this unit on one lawn 30m2 and i had to empty the catcher twice on each 3m strip. I gave up withit and just raked up everything at the end. Plastic plastic plastic! A LOT of plastic. Plastic knobs on metal screw which not only hurt your hands to screw up tighty but will very likely not last more than a couple of years; also no quick release! I wish i’d kept the screws off my old Bosch mower now! Final gripe - bare metal handle, no foam /cushioned handle.I contacted Draper about these three issues asking if i could purchase the upgraded options, which are present on the near identical - albeit wider - model which costs £40 more than this unit but sadly not - no upgrades available. That also means no spares, so when this budget unit fails you’re buying a new one. Yet more plastic to landfill.So, 3* does a really good job on a small plot if you can put up with the very base model, otherwise i’d recommend forking out for the “deluxe” model, and i say “deluxe” in very inverted “”.

I used it for the 1st time today and was very disappointed with it!The front bit is very very light, every so often the whole machine kept falling back with the front up in the air!!
