:Pleasantly Surprised
I've been considering getting a rebounder for a few years but all the health claims sounded a bit too much like snake oil. I finally took the plunge figuring I could use it for walking and jogging in the winter and after 3 weeks of 3-4 times a week gently bouncing, walking, or jogging I'm happy to say I'm actually experiencing some of the claims! In this day and age of companies cutting corners it was refreshing to find the Cellerciser is very well made with no skimping on quality materials or construction that I can see. I love how easy it is to fold and unfold and that the legs are attached by springs and simply pulling disconnects them from the frame and folds them towards the body. It was up and usable in minutes and there was absolutely no smell as has been reported with other brands. I haven't assembled the balance bar so can't speak to that.I do not find rebounding to be particularly fun as some report but it is not unspeakably boring like the treadmill. It has definitely strengthened my core. I haven't done a single sit-up since getting the Cellerciser yet my lower back and my abdominal muscles are much stronger. It massages the intestines and has noticeably improved my "elimination". One of the unexpected benefits has been how it has strengthened my balance. I didn't think I had an issue with balance but boy do I feel a difference in my knees, ankles and hips! It's like all the little muscles surrounding the joints have strengthened. Another unexpected benefit is how it has improved the tone of my skin from where it has been a bit flabby from having lost weight. I wasn't having trouble going to sleep or getting back to sleep when I woke up in the night but seem to be sleeping more deeply and waking up less.I can't speak to whether it strengthens the immune system but the claims about how bouncing helps flush the lymph are consistent with what I've read about the lymph system.I'm glad I spent the money and got such a high quality piece of equipment.

So far, a hopping good time!
I am a 50-year-old woman who weighs approx 140 pounds, give or take, and 5'7". I bought this because over the past decade of commuting 2 hours/day and sitting for 9 hour days on top, my ass has melted into my thighs, my shoulders are drooping, my tummy has a pooch, and I simply don't feel good. My energy level has been down, I have been depressed, and my ass is sore from sitting. I have tried jogging and walking fast, but at 5 a.m., it is dark and can be dangerous, and at 7 p.m., after a draining day, changing into workout clothes is simply daunting.A few years ago, I bought a cheap indoor trampoline. I think it was the Stamina. I used it, but it felt like a work out and my feet pronated. Out of desperation, I went back to it, but again, it sucked. So, I researched rebounders and the Cellerciser consistently had the best reviews. Needless to say, I sprung for it (pun was intended).I am on day two of ownership. I have used it for 30 minutes both mornings, and then also at night, not because I am forcing myself, but because it is simply so easy and it's fun. It is seriously the easiest workout I have ever had. And, I feel it in my body, so I know I am actually getting a workout. My son, who is 7 and does occupational therapy for visual-spatial awareness, has also been using it; it's my understanding that it will also help him, but it for sure keeps him busy. And, unlike the cheap trampoline, he is not likely to wear this out.I have had two negative things to say about the cellerciser thus far: (1) The stabilizing bar is far too difficult to put on, so makes it problematic in terms of portability. My living room is approx 200 square feet, and I really didn't have the room for a full-time set up, but taking the stabilizer bar down is such a hassle - and you cannot fold it without taking it down - I took out my rocking chair instead. The sacrifice of the rocker is problematic for my husband, but we all agree that my desperation for physical health and mental clarity trumps his need for a rocking chair; (2) the package I got did not include the dvd; however, I youtubed David Hall and there is a good video showing exercises.Oh, and it's a little squeaky, but that doesn't bother me. It may you.I took a picture of myself in a small bikini, and, if I get the nerve, I will show a before and after in one month. I highly recommend this rebounder for anyone who is limited on time and ability to get out to the gym or run in her neighborhood. I can feel my core muscles have had a great workout and it is has only been two days.

A Really Good Workout
OK, so I don't recommend you buy into the hype - 10 minutes equals an hour of other exercise? I don't think so. Exercises the muscles in your eyes? Hmmm...At any rate, though rebounding is a GREAT form of exercise especially for those of us with joint issues. 30 years in the Army left me pretty broken below the waist and I can now get great cardio, endurance and even a bit of strength exercise (I use hand weights), along with balance and coordination I haven't worked on in a long while without the need for ice and copious amounts of "vitamin M." Amazon recommended the Urban Rebounder Compilation 1 DVD and that was a great way to get started on it. All of that is on the plus side. On the minus side, as other reviewers have noted, it's a noisy bit of gear. I've not had issues with springs breaking (I've had it about a month and have used it daily since I got it), so I can't comment there, but will update if/when I get to that point. Some day, I'll upgrade to a Bellicon, but for now, this'll work.
