IMO, all pasta kind of tastes the same, your mostly taste the sauce, so I won't comment on that. - But the texture of this pasta really blew me away. It starts very skinny, but then gets surprisingly thick as it cooks. - And when you bite into it, it's wonderfully chewy. Very hard to explain, but miles nicer than even the medium-grade blue box pasta I typically use. I imagine all high-end pasta is like this, though I haven't tried other top brands. So is it worth the price? If cooking for guests, or a special occasion, definitely. It really makes a statement. For everyday meals? Not unless you are extremely well off, I think. So glad I tried it, though.

This is Italian (as in from Italy) pasta, with a deservedly excellent reputation. It does take longer to cook than American spaghetti, but it is a much higher quality pasta. I don't like my pasta al dente usually, but while I did cook this pasta 2 minutes longer than the recommended 13-15 minute range, it was still al dente in the very best way! I made Caccio e Pepe with it, and it was delicious!

La Molisana Pasta is an amazing product. It is manufactured in Campobasso, Italy. I like this pasta for several reasons. It's truly Italian, it's extruded through a bronze die and its rough texture holds the sauce. I used it for spaghetti Aglio e Olio. It cooks in 12-14 minutes. I use this pasta instead of fresh. It's that good.

I purchased because I used to own an Italian Restaurant and this is the kind we had there. I was hoping that it would not have as many or any of the horrible, poisonous ingredients that a lot of out food has in it. I believe it is better than many of the store bought pastas???

A good noodle can make a spaghetti dish so much better. Pasta like this is so much better than the leading brands that people cite as their go to choice. Have they not tried better noodles? After trying a number of spaghetti noodles I settled on two brands, this being one of them.

Great pasta, bronze die is the best and 4 sides for your sauce to cling to. Hard to overcook

This pasta is a little over $7 per pound. You can get pasta for less then $2 per pound but when you actually taste the difference you will never go back to the cheaper one. Actually, it's not as expense as it seems. We use half the package and that comes to about $3.50 per person. I would recommend trying this pasta and tasting the difference. You will not go back to the cheap bargain pasta.

Pasta was mailed in a bag that was torn and 3/6 pasta packages were ripped open. Amazon indicates that we cannot return this order. I am very disappointed as price per pound is expensive for pasta and half of the packages were torn open.
