Firstly, contrary to some of the reviews, they're not fake (at least in my case). Wards are a cheap but official alternative to the classic Old Skool shoe and they do come with some drawbacks. They take a long time to bed in (especially at the heel), Vans website has some tips on how to wear-in your new shoes to fit more comfortably - so even they are aware of it when it comes to all their shoes. However, Wards seem to be particularly bad in this regard.If you have any concerns about how legit they are, make sure it says "Dispatched from and sold by Amazon". I've not had any issues with the dye running, as some have reported, so it's possible that the way this product page has being filled has changed over time and there were some dodgy third party retailers before, but Amazon at least are selling the real deal.I've been a long time purchaser of Vans (mainly Old Skool) and, if it wasn't for lockdown, I would normally have gone to the local Vans store to get new ones. However, these came pretty fast from Amazon, all things considered. Ordered on a Thursday and arrived the following Monday.I knocked the one star off because, being Wards, they just are not up to the same quality as Old Skools, and they are not as comfortable out of the box. They're fine though.

Ich trage standardmäßig das Modell Old Skool von VANS. Soweit ich das verstanden habe, kann man dieses Modell noch in weitere Modelle unterteilen. Diese unterscheiden sich dann hinsichtlich dem Material und kleineren Details, wie z.B. die Position der Nähte. Diese VANS hier habe ich aufgrund des viel günstigeren Preis gekauft und mir gefällt das Design, jetzt wo ich den Schuh gesehen habe, auch besser. Der Schuh fällt etwas kleiner aus als erwartet, weswegen ich meine anfänglich bestellten 39 in 40 umgetauscht habe. Übrigens bin ich eine Frau und sehe keine Problem diese Schuhe anzuziehen, obwohl diese für Männer ausgezeichnet sind. Es besteht kein Unterschied zu den VANS für Frauen . :-)

Very sore on the heels. Both heels blistered within a short walking distance. Like my DrMartins will tape my heels till they're broken in.Didn't expect that with a canvas shoe!

Great shoes. And perfect size. My husband is very happy with it. Great and fast delivery.

Reasonably comfortable. Takes time to break them.
