Melissa & Doug Giant Black Lab - Lifelike Stuffed Animal Dog (over 2 feet tall)

We use this as a display prop for our pet accessories products at shows and events. We always have people comment how real and lifelike he seems. Children come up to him and give him hugs. We have had several people offer to buy him from us! A very well behaved ambassador!

When I got him, I was nervous he was going have holes in him. But I was wrong. He was worth the price. He is 2 feet tall, and is a adorable cuddle companion. He is super soft, and has a curious head tilt, which give him a friendly looking temperament. He has flabs on the bottom of his neck, and has a floppy tail. He is very sturdy, and can stand up by himself. Just a warning-his legs are movable, by they are really hard to move. If you bend to hard, the stitches will snap. (Luckily that didn't happen for me). Other than that, I think he is a great, big toy that any kid or person can enjoy.

100% would buy this again! I absolutely LOVE this! It’s so realistic looking that I’ve jump scared my fiancé several times because it’s so real looking. 🤣 It’s like I have a dog without the need to feed and walk it and it’s perfect for my apartment because I can’t have live animals so this is perfect. When I’m out of town I leave him in the window to make it look like my apartment is protected even though I don’t have a dog.

After 16 years and 58 days with Sally, our 67lb black lab the greatest silent communicator. This blk lab as others have stated, occupies the void. It verbally talks a bit less than she did, but listens. Laughs abound when placing her in locations for teasing and shock effect. We joke about taking her for a walk, in order to horrify the neighbors. Have not placed her on the porch where she would be when GF came home. Wish the head was as flexible as the legs. Sally would only look as such when treat was in hand or commanding one. "For Me?"

We lost our beloved Black Lab a few days ago. She was 14. She had been with us sooo long that her absence left a deafening silence and a void in our home so profound even we had not expected it to be that deep.I bought this to hang her collar on and in some strange way it is visually comforting just to see this standing in her space.It's well made, very lifelike, and it's unexpectedly helping me to get through this. It's helping my heart to heal by filling the visual void. That's a pretty big help right now. I highly recommend.

I'm sure this will work better for someone else training wise but my dog lost her mind when she saw it (something we're trying to train her not to do). Eventually she figured out it was fake even with some recordings of barking. I've hidden it from her and will reintroduce again. It does a very good job as a dog analog but your dog may figure it out pretty quickly. Also, it's pretty big.... like surprisingly big and looks a lot better than the goofy pictures.

Great faux dog for counter-conditioning my reactive dog. It is large and looks lifelike….although I suspect he is now on to us. Time for the real dogs. But “Buddy” has been a great help.

I really love this. Being just a fraction smaller than life size, its still pretty big and I bought it as a laugh as it's a replica of our real dog.It's structured with a frame so does stand up on it's own, and it's really soft. We have it by the side of the sofa and occasionally i'll give it a bit of a stroke on the head; it's actually really therapeutic. Yes I am aware of how insane i'm becoming stroking a fake dog, but all in all it's quite nice. (And so the slow descent in to madness starts here....)We have a real, genuine and breathing black Labrador who is still confused by this. She bites it's ears, licks its face and occasionally gives a little growl because it doesn't react to her, but clearly she thinks enough that it could be real. The one we received has quite a fat neck and adopts more the shape of a sheep, it also looks at you from all angles in the room, but has such a characteristic face with a classic lab head tilt, the whole family adore it and it's been a fantastic purchase.

The fur is soft and it's quite sturdy, as the description notes it would not be sturdy enough for a child to sit on, however, it stands on it's own and a child could lay with it. It's quite realistic of the English Breed in my opinion, a bit more shorter and stout vs. the taller American. The snout I'd say is a bit shorter than a realistic dog, however, none of that matters, it's a cute toy for a child.We put it in our black labs' crate when we received it, she came down to go in and she seemed to think the toy was real and ran away. She's getting used to it now!
