Killed off Japanese beetles
Easy to use. This killed off the Japanese beetles on our apple trees. And we havenโt seen anymore. It is good quality. And most importantly we will still be able to get a harvest of apples. We picked this spray due to we can still pick and wash the apples. Read directions for use and safety information. Definitely worth the money.

Good-bye lantern fly
Bought this for lantern fly control. For that pest, it works well, however, it does NOT kill on contact, as advertised. Unless the pressure from your hose is sufficient to smash them against the tree. Only complaint is the sprayer directions didn't match the sprayer head. After a lot of digging and customer reviews, I found that OFF = OFF; CLEAN = ON; RINSE = WATER ONLY. One suggestion for use, wrap any hose connection points with plumbers (teflon) tape to secure the connection. I do this with all manufacturer supplied attachments. Seems quality control is no longer a high point.

Effective immediately!
I never write reviews but I felt compelled to for this product. My poor cherry tree has been infested with Japanese beetles for the last 3 years, and I've tried everything to get rid of them. I've used bags, which grabbed up a bunch but still didn't end the invasion. I tried not using bags at all this year because some folks will say they just lure more in. Well, they found it anyway so not much help there. I've sprayed it with garlic spray, because they don't like the scent. I tried Dave's Dead Bug Spray, they shrugged it off. I've even spent hours wandering the yard like a crazy person with a bowl of soapy water in my hand, knocking them in one by one. But when there are hundreds, some of them on branches 8 feet up in the air, that's just not a realistic defense. I'm treating for grubs but that's a longer term plan and useless if my neighbors don't do the same. I was about to give up when I came across Sevin. I'm no hippie, but I do like to try and avoid using harsh chemicals in my garden if possible. I do worry about things like hurting bee colonies so using a broad spectrum insect killer isn't ideal, but it was either this or lose the entire tree. Application was easy, just took a minute to hook it to the hose and start spraying. Almost immediately, beetles started dropping from the tree. I stood and watched as the entire swarm collapsed within minutes. I don't know if it will keep them off going forward, but I'm hopeful based on the directions for use. Next year, at the first sight of a beetle, the tree is getting coated, and if they target any others in my yard, they'll get the same treatment. I've got plenty of things blooming in my garden for the bees and other bugs to enjoy, so that's helping to minimize my guilt. If you've tried everything else and haven't had any luck, give Sevin a shot before you throw in the towel!
