Zojirushi Stainless Steel Vacuum Carafe, 1.5 Liter Capacity, Matte Navy

I had bought one for myself months ago, if not at least a year, and it works wonderfully. It retains heat for a very long time which is great for getting karak from cafeterias. When my friend broke theirs, I immediately thought of getting a second one as a gift. Unfortunately, it did not retain the heat at all, cooling off within 2 hours, and I had to issue a return. I was not only disappointed but a bit embarassed having sworn that this is an amazing product. I'm taking a leap of faith and ordering it for a third time hoping I can gift this to my friend. I hope what I receive now is as good as the one I use.

Really like this carafe. Now I can make 3-4 cups of tea using only two teabags! And the tea stays hot for easily several hours. I now use it every weekend morning when I'm just hanging around the house enjoying a long, long breakfast time. I like how easy it is to clean. The lid comes apart so then can be easily flushed under the tap. Also the matte colour looks great left out on the counter. Well worth the price for a quality Japanese product.

I have several Zojirushi's gadgets. They all work much, much better that I expect. They hold temperature almost infinitely. This very device holds hot (I filled it with boiling water) temperature for: 4 hours: super hot, not drinkable at all 6 hours: can almost be drinked 8 hours: can be drinked comfortable (55-60 °C) 20 hours: still can be enjoyable as a hot beverage, definitely not cold I did those measurements because I had read comments here that this device doesn't hold temperature. I'm here to prove that at least my very device (as well as any of other Zojirushis) works way better than I expect.
