I use the scrub in the evenings after my gym workouts to lift any dead skin and unclog any pores. I’ve been really impressed with this facial scrub. It exfoliates gently without any irritation, and my skin always feels light, fresh, and buttery soft after using it, not dried out or "tight feeling." One of my concerns when using this product is that it would cause me to break out more - my skin is both sensitive and prone to acne, even from the most seemingly benign products, so I was pleased to experience that this was super gentle on my skin. I've also noticed a smoother, more even skin tone since I started using it, and an overall healthier complexion to my face. The consistency of the scrub is just right (not too rough, but "scrubby" enough to feel like it’s actually exfoliating). It has a clean, earthy, natural scent that isn't overpowering and doesn't linger on your face after use. Overall, it’s a great addition to my skincare routine!

What a gentle yet powerful and refreshing exfoliator! My skin is very dry except for my T-zone, which makes it difficult to find an exfoliator that cleans effectively without stripping moisture. I use this scrub every other morning after washing my face. I have noticed it makes my face feel softer and smoother, and my foundation seems to work better on the days I use this versus the days that I don’t. I have combination skin that gets oily throughout the day. I feel that this product helps with the oiliness and just really makes my skin feel clean and refreshed in the morning. The scrub to me smells earthy mixed with a little black pepper. I really like it, but I like most scented products, especially those with a more natural scent to them. I bought this scrub after trying the sample size in the discovery kit so I already knew I liked it. I really wasn’t sure how much product I would get in 2 ounces, but I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the container. I only use a couple of fingertips worth of scrub every other day, and I feel that this jar will last me at least a couple of months, maybe even longer. I don’t have an extensive skincare routine, and I don’t spend a lot of money on skincare products so I love when I get something that works and will last me a long time. My overall recommendation is to try this scrub. Introduce it into your routine and see if it helps improve the smoothness of your skin. For the exfoliation benefits and the fact that my face feels cleaner and my makeup looks better, I will gladly continue to use this scrub. It’s a Zen Out of Ten for me!

This is by far the best face scrub, I’ve ever used! I have oily skin, and have had it my whole life. So my pores get clogged a lot because I’m very active. I’m also in my late 40’s too. So my skin requires different things now. I’ve used, clay masks, pore strips etc. I saw the reviews on this and decided to try it. It works great on the nose, to get rid of the blackheads. It leaves my face so smooth but not dried out like most products. Absolutely love this product and highly recommend it to those who need a clean unclogged face!

I have so many more pros than cons, but the one con is bugging me. So I'm including it as a "don't be surprised..." PROS: Unlike other exfoliators, this one felt gentle and not abrasive on my skin. The consistency is kind of like jelly, which is different than creams I'm used to. It was easy to wash off, not too gritty, and left my skin feeling hydrated instead of dry. I use it every other day, and it has been a better experience than other exfoliators I've used. CON: The first time I opened the jar I was struck by it's smell. I couldn't quite place it, and reading the label I'm guessing it's olive. Once I thought about it, it reminded me of tapenade. I actually put a little on my tongue and that's kind of the flavor I thought of. The smell is less now that I've opened the jar a few times. It's not bad -- just unexpected.

I first tried this product in a one time free sample kit. It worked wonderfully. I wish they’d offer sample kits for purchase as well. I love the all natural products. I love Eight Saints clay mask also. The glass jars are wonderful rather than plastic containers. My face feels so soft and clean after I use this and my pores look smaller.

I absolutely LOVE this product! My entire skincare routine is made up of Eight Saints products- after like 7 years of trial and error with different brands, I was ready to give up and accept having crappy skin. Then I found Eight Saints, and they literally solved ALL of my problems. I was really needing a good exfoliator to refresh my skin as I get fairly oily throughout the day. Now that I live in the Florida humidity, I felt like everything was getting clogged with whatever is hanging in the air. I started using the Zen Out of Ten detox scrub, and it has made a HUGE difference! The first time I used it, I stepped out of the shower and felt like I was GLOWING. It makes my skin absolutely baby smooth and unbelievably fresh. The little blackheads I would get on my chin and nose from makeup and getting oily have basically disappeared. My skin literally feels 15 years younger. It has made my skin brighter, less oily, removed all buildup, and just makes me feel completely refreshed and silky smooth. Every time I try a new Eight Saints product, I can’t imagine going without it. This is no exception- I now use it religiously 3-4 times a week, followed up with their toner, niacinamide serum, and brightening moisturizer, and my skin looks and feels better than it has in 10 years.

I like to use micro exfoliants about twice a week to remove skin buildup and help skin cell turnover. I was using a different micro exfoliant, but it was a little too gentle for my liking. The great thing about the Zen out of Ten is that it's gentle, but if you apply a bit more pressure while using it you get a deeper exfoliation. So it's the best of both worlds! After using it, my skin immediately felt smoother, but not tight. My pores look smaller, and I have less blackheads. It is great for anyone with textured skin. My makeup looks flawless on days I use this. It didn't irritate my skin, and I have roceasea. It has all natural ingredients AND it's cruelty free! Yes, it is a little pricey, but its because Eight Saints doesn't skimp on the quality of the ingredients used. Also, you don't really need to us a lot at once. So it lasts quite a while. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that even though it doesn't have any added fragrance, it has an oder to it. It's not unbearable, and I'm sure some people might like it. It's a very earthy kind of smell. It's not my favorite, but the results I get from using this far outweigh the scent.
