Seamless Follow Focus Gear for the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Lens

The best focus ring I have ever gotten for any of my lenses. The issue with the focus rings that come with my wireless or wired follow focus systems is -A. They are typically too thinB. For non-cinema lenses (PL Mounts) that don't have hard stops they sometimes don't allow you to focus all the way from infinity to forward focusC. They are flimsy and don't always lastThis focus ring resolves all 3 of those issues, it fits well on the lens without worrying about it being overtightened. It also doesn't get in the way of the Lens Hood and it works great with the DJI Ronin RS-2. It's a must have for anyone who is using a wireless or analog follow focus system and the Sigma 18-35mm Art lens.

The good:Fits the lens nicely and looks cleanThe bad:Broke after 6 months of heavy usage.Worn out teeth and delaminating layers.Slips on the rubber ring, resulting the follow-focus marks going out of alignment.3D printed with, seems PLA which is brittle and unsuitable for gears. Direct sunlight and hot weather might have degraded mine to the point it started slipping and wear out teeth. Not worth the price.

Ive been shooting with my Sigma 18-35 & Nikon 24-70 for a while and been missing the simpleness of the built in follow rings of my other lenses however with this My problems are no longer.This custom follow gear is one of the best purchases I’ve made so far for my kit. It came sized correctly and packed in a professionally padded box and seems durable enough for a demanding user like myself.The fit is tight however it should be ( who wants a loose follow gear ). I found the best way to install them is too remove the little label inside and put a very small amount of baby oil on the inside of the ring, then slowly and firmly work it onto the lens by pulling it into place one small section at a time. This allowed me to keep even the loosest of rubber grips on my Nikon inplace and the follow gear snug.Personally I think I will be modding all my lenses this way pretty soon.

Fits great. Even if it didn't it comes with instructions on how to get a better fit. For some reason, I thought it was going to be a hard rubber but it looks like a 3d printed plastic. Not a bad thing, I guess I just didn't do enough research before. The hard rubber probably wouldn't have been great with a follow focus.ANYWAY, the gear fits perfectly. I use it for video, my wife does photography and it doesn't bother her or get in the way while she's using it. This will never come off my lens and has made one of my favorite lenses even more useful.

If you own the sigma 18-35mm 1.8f Lens you must get this gear set up. I totally love this product, Lightweight strong plastic material compatible with all motors and it is custom fits to perfection on this lens. I Love it!!!
