The Four Lads started their illustrious career singing backing on Johnnie Ray's "Cry" but by the end of the 1950s, they had moved on from the simple "Ooh-Ahh" to being probably America's most popular group and by the end of the 20th Century it was estimated they had sold 50 million singles and albums. As stated, this collection contains, aptly, four albums by The Four Lads, chronologically they are 1959s 'High Spirits', 1961s '12 Hits' and ''Dixieland Doin's' and 1962s 'Hits Of The Sixties' (although as it was recorded in 1962 (they are obviously just hits of the early sixties). Listen to the wonderful renditions of such classics as "Get Me To The Church On Time", "The Surrey With The Fringe On Top", "Moon River", "Catch A Falling Star" and more. So here for your enjoyment is a great selection of tunes old and new (well they were at the time) given the unmistakable sound of The Four Lads. Enjoy!
