No, this is a gravity fed pump so it cannot pump uphill.

What is the diameter of the filter?

There is no filter on this device it is simply a siphon tube, (it does have a small wire mesh, say 20mm dia, on the suction end to avoid sediment disturbance). The large expanding unit on the out flow end means you will start a flow simply by squeezing this unit.

Please can anybody advise the maximum temperature allowed?

It’s quite a thin plastic tube. I’ve used it at 55C And it became very soft. I wouldn’t risk going much higher than that.
