This is super well packed. I opened the pacakage and there was not the slightest trace of truffle fragrance. I unwrapped the layered packaging, sort of like a Russian doll, and when I finally opened the jar .... wham! fantastic, rich fragrance. The top of the jar has a soft plastic stopper that plugs the mouth of the jar, and the cap has a finer thread than most, so it really works to keep in the flavor. I recived this on March 6th, 21 days ago, and it remains as powerful as on the first day. I am calculating my Subscribe & Save interval.

From the minute I opened the box it was shipped in, I smelled a strong scent of truffles and smoke, despite the fact it was sealed and wrapped in bubble wrap. When I unwrapped it and opened the bottle, I was in truffle heaven. I love the taste of truffles and love smoked salt. This combines the best of both worlds. The flavor is so intense, I don't need to buy truffle oil anymore to get the flavor I crave, saving me money, calories, and fat. This will be the only salt I will buy the rest of my life.

This is a must have in each household. Taste absolutely delicious !!

A year ago, in a local grocery store, I got a sample of mashed potatoes with this this exact truffle salt. I bought it immediately! The truffle flavor combined with the smoked flavor is the most perfect combination ever and in my household, there is no such thing as mashed potatoes without this product. Don't get me started on beef and grilled veggies... It's that much of a game changer - for any dish! Mine lasted a year - The flavor is strong enough that a dash or two is all I need to add enough flavor to a pot of food. Couldn't find it locally anymore, but thankfully found it here. About the same price. If you think it's a bit much for truffle salt, know that there's no comparison to any other brands. This is the good deal here! Do yourself a ' FLAVOR' and enhance your cooking skills with 'Sabatino Tartufi Smoked Truffle Salt.'

Combined review since Amazon does not separate them. Smoked truffle salt = 3 stars: This may just be a batch issue, but it has an extremely mild smokiness so it takes more to add flavor. Unfortunately, then the food is over salted. Tartufi Truffle & Sea Salt = 5 stars: Maybe consider going for the regular Sabatino Tartufi Truffle & Sea Salt with the blue label (label now only says truffle and salt) since the truffle flavor is delicious and seems much more pronounced so you can use less. Just mix it with a bit of your favorite smoked salt or smoke flavoring if you need more oomph.

I was really surprised by the mushroom flavor in this salt. absolutely delicious. got to try this salt you'll love it!

Great price for a flavor that would cost a fortune otherwise. Great for pasta, eggs, the subtle almost garlic flavor and fragrance is great with almost everything. This adds a sophisticated touch to a simple meal.
