If i could give this a million stars, I would. It works so very well. I sleep so much better, not getting hot at night which is a huge deal and I feel more calm during moments of stress and not feeling ragey lol. I take it twice a day as directed and have not had any side effects of any kind.

For some reason these natural products only work for a couple months for me and then stop working. I was getting to the end of the list and didn’t think I’d find anything else that worked. Every night I would sweat through my pajamas and then start to shiver. Each night seemed worse than before. I woke up yesterday and was just fed up. I ordered these in bed and they came the same day. I took one before bed, and lo and behold I did not sweat! It is a miracle! No waiting months for them to kick in. These have to be the best so far. I really hope they work for a while because it is such a relief!

I'm a skeptic by nature, so my expectations for this product weren't high. It was recommended to me by a friend who learned about it from her doctor, and used it with success to improve her energy levels. While pre-menopausal energy levels were a concern for me, the main motivation in trying the product was that hot flashes were pretty much ruining my work life and my ability to sleep. So I gave it a try. I took just one capsule a day for about a week, and one morning I woke up and realized I hadn't had a hot flash all night. I was jubilant -- no more night sweats and hot flashes. I can hardly convey how much maca has improved my life. . .it was like a minor miracle. The package instructions recommend a higher dosage than I use, but if I take two capsules, it keeps me up at night. My energy level the first couple of weeks was amazing -- I felt like the Energizer bunny -- which spurred me to investigate maca. There was little useful information on the internet, but I came to find out the maca is used frequently in Peru, where it grows, as an energy booster. I've been told by a friend who spent 2 months in Peru, that maca gets sprinkled on things the same way we sprinkle salt. In order to test if it was the maca that stopped my hot flashes rather than some other coincidence, I stopped taking it for 10 days. The hot flashes returned. I don't know if maca works for all women, but for me it has been a total lifesaver. I encourage anyone who is suffering to give it a try. It's not a hormone therapy; it works by supporting the body's hormone production system. So far, no negative side effects, and at least three positive areas of marked improvement. I an eternally grateful to have found this product; I can't imagine the torture of suffering years of hot flashes and night sweats. UPDATE: the product stopped working in regard to the hot flashes after 3 or 4 months. It was; however, worth it to have the 4 months of relief during the worst of the suffering, so no regrets. I find it still has other beneficial effects, and would still recommend it.

If I could give zero stars I would. This came highly recommended by a friend and the positive reviews gave me hope. I started suffering from night sweats and hot flashes in May and my sleep has been severely compromised. I was exhausted, and an emotional wreck; not sure how much of that us due to lack of sleep or peri menopause, but what's the difference? I really wanted this to work for me, but it's been a solid month and I've followed the directions to the letter and I've seen no change at all. I'm debating whether to give this product another month or move on and try something else. VERY disappointed. UPDATE: 7/20/2014 Holy Maca! My original purchase date was 6/11 and I started raking this on 6/13 when it arrived. I wrote my original review one month later having experienced no relief. Probably about 2-3 days later after leaving that review, the stuff kicked in. It was near the end of the day and I realized, not only did I not experience a hot flash that day, but was not wakened with night sweats the evening prior. I'm still symptom free and my next box arrived so I'll be busting it open. I won't say I'm 100% symptom free. I still feel the hot flashes starting to come on, but then it's like my body shuts it down before it takes hold. It is such a relief not to be plagued by them and now that I'm able to sleep through the night, I no longer feel like I'm slowly losing my mind. I'll update again further on down the road to see if it's still doing it's thing. UPDATE: 8/26/2014 Ok, NOW I can say I am 100% symptom free! I'm guessing about a week or two after my last review ALL symptoms of hot flashes and night sweats were gone. I have been fully restored to my human self; no craziness or sleepless nights. In all seriousness, I feel like my old self. There is a recommendation that you take a week (I believe) off after 4 months on this. I'll definitely update after that once I see if there is any recurrence of HFs or NSs. I do sometimes at present forget a dosage during the day, but it hasn't had any negative effects. I also have not experienced any side effects from this product at all. At present, I am one very happy camper.

HOLY FINALLY BEING NORMAL. I am a nutritionist and tried everything. I didn't want to even go with Hormone replacement from BIG Pharma. They are the reason we are in this mess. I was a year past my period and suffering from insomnia, constant needing to urinate all night and in general low energy maybe low grade losing my mind. Seriously I was messed up. One day having such bad anxiety I was debating leaving this planet. Then I found this god send. They offer a 15-minute talk with their nutritionist. Immediately after taking 2 in the am the following day, I felt better. No anxiety. Now been on it for 6 months the constant urge to urinate is gone. Still working on the insomnia but I paired it recently with their Alkaline alfalfa pills (taking 2 a night before bed) and actually slept 4 hours! This should be in every woman's hands !
