They love it
Bought this house for my daughters 3rd birthday with M&D figures, she loves it.Build quality is very good, but would recommend using wood glue to give a lasting finish. Took about an hour to put together and I did this before the big day so she could have it to play with immediately.Interior is easy to decorate with wall paper or paint.Stock is often low but I suspect that's because they are pretty much the best reasonably priced large dolls house on the market.

A lovely and well-made traditional toy wooden house
My young son asked for a 'toy house' for his 5th birthday. This Melissa and Doug house ticks all the boxes. We had a task on our hands to find a house that wasn't pink (why do toy manufacturers feel the need to gender toys????????), but this is perfect. The size is good too. It was a little bit fiddly to assemble in places, but I managed to put this together on my own (it would be a lot easier with two people) and it is sturdy. The instructions were clear.My son absolutely loves it and plays with it daily. The open nature means he can easily reach in and move the people/furniture around. It's also lightweight, so he can move it around his room depending on how he's playing with it. He plays really imaginatively with it.A wonderful, traditional toy that we've really got our money's worth on.We also bought the car and doll set to go with this.

Amazing!
I haven't opened the package yet, because this is an Easter gift for my daughter, but I'm already SO excited to play with it! It's even bigger and sturdier than I expected. I know this will be an heirloom toy I'll keep for my kids' kids!
