I use this at the front door for all my kids shoes. Works great. With 5 kids they are constantly getting into it. They are also not so gentle and like to slam the lid closed every time. But it is holding up like new. It’s also cute and goes with my rustic themed decor.

Conversation piece. Looks great in my dining room! Would highly recommend.

It is what I wanted, but arrived with broken hinges and a dent in the front. I decided to keep it because I do not need the top to be connected and the dent kind of goes with the look of it. I am only using it for shoe storage. I have read other reviews and they also said it came or the hinges were broken. Depending on what you need it for I would search around.

Just received the chest and was so disappointed when I removed it from the box. There is a large crack on the top and when I opened the lid, there was more damage. I do not understand why it was boxed in that condition...it is being returned and it’s such a shame.This was my second purchase of the chest. It looks great and blends easily with my decorations and color scheme. If not for the damage, it would have been a perfect match.The wood material is less than a 1/4” thick on the top however; the bracing under the lid was damaged. It may have survived whatever was placed on it, if not for that.Value for money - 1 star. I had no issues with the cost of an undamaged chest which is why I purchased the second chest. I do have issues when I make a purchase and the item is damaged. That is when the value for the money decreases.As stated, the wood is thin however; I love the rustic look of the metal attached to the wood. Based on the damage, I can’t say it’s sturdy.

Came packed well. Fully assembled. I love the look of it. The lid has a hinge which makes it nice to stay open.
