I ordered these for a craft fair activity for kids. They worked great! We painted walking sticks, rocks, concrete and other things without issue. It washes off hands fast and doesn't appear to stain clothing, although we took precautions to protect most clothing. I've ordered more than one set over the past few years. Great value and price! Colors are bright and vivid.

These paint sticks are AMAZING!! We first learned of them while my 3 year old granddaughter was in the hospital for heart surgery. The activity came around and she got to paint using the tempura paint sticks. She loved them and we loved the ease of them. Have since bought them for all of my grandchildren!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this product. I first used them at a friend’s house helping make cards for her kid to give on Valentine’s Day. They are incredible. They are like oil pastels in the smooth way they glide onto the paper. They dry almost immediately and don’t smudge. You can layer them. They are like the biggest, best, lushest crayons you have ever had. I don’t think you can use them wrong. On good drawing, watercolor, or printing paper, these look and feel sm amazing. Like I said, they are my new GO-TO gift for the year, and not just for kids. The grown-ups who I’ve given them to have been captivated as well and started giving them as gifts, too. I hope our circles don’t overlap too much during the holidays this year. Also, I have no connection to this item or brand at all—they are just a brand I tried based on my friend’s purchase. But these are definitely worth it, for yourself or if you have anyone remotely creative in your life and are looking for a great, affordable, fun gift.

My 1.5 year old absolutely LOVES drawing with these! They’re so potent so it does not require a lot of pressure for the color to be vibrant still. They’re also nice and thick to hold onto for a toddler. The lid is a little hard to get off, but that allows us to controls when they get used. Seems to come off her drawing table easily when spills have occurred.

I have tried many brands of this type of art material and Zena color ranks just average, in my opinion. The pink is very pale compared to other brands. The cap on one color would not come off easily, So. if you purchase this for small young children they might experience frustration and will have to ask for adult help. But, I am an adult and I couldn't get the cap off. The size needs to be slightly recalibrated. The quality of the paint is OK. It seems to dry quickly. Each company has their own formula so it may depend on how much beeswax content there is. Zenacolor was one of the lowest prices for the basic color set, so maybe it isn't a higher end product. For under ten dollars, it is a lot of fun. I love this medium of beeswax tempera sticks. But I have no idea of the ingredients although I have inquired at certain companies. I did a painting on canvas over ten years ago and it has not changed. These days I seal artwork with a clear art spray since colors are water soluable and I want to insure long term permanancy.

These are the coolest paint sticks and mess free. Hours of fun. Show up great on construction paper, as well as computer paper.

My toddler is a crafter but I was befuddled why she wasn’t using the crayons, coloring pencils, paints and markers I got for her. But these paint sticks, she’s been using them everyday enthusiastically since we got them (it’s been less than a week, mind). Very saturated colors, they glide on the paper easily with a creamy texture, she can make big thick lines and it’s easy to hold. Basically it’s glue sticks with a non-greasy oil pastel like center. She needs held opening the tops off but it’s a good thing because it forces me to supervise her. I love the affordable price. She loves how satisfying drawing is. I will definitely repurchase.

Ich habe das Stifte-Set für meine Kinder (5 und 2 Jahre alt) gekauft und ich muss sagen, es ist wirklich perfekt für kleine Künstler! Die Farben sind unglaublich lebendig und es gibt eine schöne Auswahl an Farbtönen, die keine Wünsche offen lässt. Die Farben lassen sich leicht auftragen, sind sehr deckend und die Handhabung in Stiftform ist super praktisch für Kinderhände. Besonders positiv finde ich, dass das Set so gut wie keine Flecken hinterlässt - die Stifte sind sauberer als herkömmliche Pinsel und Farben und meine Kinder können selbstständig kreativ werden, ohne dass hinterher das Zimmer renoviert werden muss. Außerdem sind die Farben wasserlöslich, so dass kleine Missgeschicke leicht zu beseitigen sind. Alles in allem ein tolles Produkt für kleine (und auch große) Künstler. Wer seine Kinder auch mal unbeaufsichtigt malen lassen möchte oder einen Kindergeburtstag plant, dem kann ich die Stifte nur wärmstens empfehlen.

I’ve always liked to draw but never painted before. My kids received these as a gift and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed using them. These have also got my 4 year old son interested in art whereas before he would get bored or frustrated quickly. I’ve tried some alternatives and found them to not to be as good as this set and have since reordered a new set of these.
