Jaw dropping true Congressional testimony of the 1947 Operation High Jump mission to Antarctica that was a disastrous failure because of what is truly down there. Deep dark rabbit hole well worth owning. Very high quality large hardcover book too.

Just spent an hour flipping through my copy. All text is very legible and easy to read. Pictures, maps and diagrams are poor. If you have any kind of interest in early Antarctic exploration , Admiral Byrd or the aircraft and equipment used then this book is for you. I'm looking forward to reading it.
