The replacement was easy after I found a YouTube video I decided that I could do it and I did. I also cleaned the vent at the bottom, back of fridge.Please note: once you remove the old line take a measurement of where the foam is on your old line, remove foam(need a razor) then re-use foam on you new line and install. The job is easy. It takes mor time to clear the shelf, remove shelf underneath filter housing, and rolling out fridge.I broke the nipple using aftermarket filters so that’s why I needed this and now I’m back to original LG filters.

This was an easy swap the only problem that I had was the long supply line. The new line was 3 inches shorter than the old line. I managed to disassemble the filter head and swap the new line with the old one. I verified that the filter head was the correct part. I suggest that you compare the line lengths before installing the new head assembly.

Only things you will need to swap this piece out is a Phillips screwdriver and a 3/8” open wrench to open the compression fittings. No videos available on this, but it was super easy and self explanatory. Go ahead and try it, you will be surprised how easy it is to replace and save some serious coins. Only con is the price for a piece of plastic.

The replacement was very easy but would be better if they provide a insulation sponge and tape for the hole for pipes as taking off from older one is but hard. Would recommend to a friend. Cheaper than on company’s website.

Arrived promptly and fit perfectly. Installed in ~40 minutes while relying on a good YouTube video. Saved us the time we'd have waited for a repair person and the service bill.
