It works just fine !

Works fine but the core refund is slow and Bosch's customer service is bad. It took Bosch 23 weeks to send the rebate. I called Bosch 5 or 6 times to check the status of the rebate but it seemed like they didn't care. One person at Bosch told me that it takes a long time because "the rebate is a lot of money".Not a bad alternator, but I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it took Bosch 6 months to process a $75 refund.

bought it for my bmw 2002 325i since it was half the price of a bmw Alternator and trust Bosch products over any other non bwm parts. Also the one that i had on the car that broke was the same bosch alternator. I had it installed the new one over a month ago and have not had any problems now. My only concern is that it would brake again within a few years, because when i check the paper work of the car the old bosch alternator was put in my car in 2012 which is four years ago ( 50,000 miles at least driven since) and it seems as a short lifetime to me for an alternator.

This is not an easy part to replace on this car. Wanted to replace the alternator with an original part so I purchased a Bosch rebuilt part.The part lasted 3 miles and stopped charging. The mechanic found it hard to believe the part had failed that quickly so he tested it.The alternator was no longer working. I had to buy another one and replace it again and pay again. All said and done it cost me about $300 per mile. I am not a happy customer. Just a refund won't cut it.

Bosch claims they will mail you a check after 4 weeks of receipt of core return. Nearly 2 months after they received the core alternator, I'm still waiting.The alternator works find otherwise; I'm just annoyed at paying double what I should be paying for the alternator.Update: Bosch received my alternator on 11 January, I finally received a check for the core refund on 18 June. I'm chaning my rating to 3 stars because 5 months is long compared to 4 weeks. Alternator is great otherwise.
