8MB450-4 v2 8" Mid Bass Speaker 4 Ohm Pro Audio Speaker 93.5dB 450 Watts 2" Voice Coil (Single)

Plain and simple review. Do you need a simple solution for 80Hz and up? Then a good choice are these little 8inch woofers. Mid bass functionality for my rear doors. Some modification required to make them fit but they accomplished the mission. Filling in mid bass and they do it a a great price point. No frills no thrills, just the right the tool for the job.

Now. First of all I love prv and these speakers sound excellent, HOWEVER! I'm not sure what happened with the packaging but the speakers ended up in the box without any sort of packaging to secure the speaker from flopping around in the box and inevitably ended up with damage on both speakers. One obvious quite noticeable. These where for a show vehicle and where supposed to be the last piece of the puzzle. It's also a memorial build so I was quite disheartened by the lack of care that went into packaging. I did contact Amazon regarding this issue and was told I would receive an email from seller to rectify this issue. Even a partial refund would have been acceptable as the speakers still play just fine but I don't want to run a damaged speaker in a memorial build I have spent months building for car shows and competitions. If I wanted to buy these speakers I would search for a different seller as I feel this was just carelessly packaged. Nothing against prv by any means, they're a very reputable manufacturer and all of the alto 6.5s i have gotten from a different seller have shown up in perfect shape and product protective cardboard inside the box to prevent damage during shipping. I gave these 3 stars strictly because of the careless shipping. I give the speakers however a 5 out of 5 for sound quality and low end sound reproduction between 70 and 200hz. Great midbass.

Used for some custom boxes for a jeep tj along with skar 1" neodymium tweeters. Sound is awesome and quality is very good.
