Runs small, size up
My rat terrier is 9-10 lbs, and the medium just fit. I’m hesitant to wash it, as I think it will shrink if I do. Size up

I got this because I wanted people to be able to see my dog is a female. It’s very cute and looks adorable on her. But, it runs small so I would size up for your dog. I’ve washed it and dried it and it held up well. The stitching stayed in place with embroidery as well.

I bought a large for my 10 pound Yorkie. I would rather it be too big than too tight but I could definitely use a medium. Regardless, she loves it. I did have to cut the inside tag out and I had to trim the corners of the outside tag because they felt sharp to me. The shirt is embroidered and very soft. I bought one for my other dog and it had larger, stiff lettering but it softened after first wash.

Ordered a large. She is 13/14 lb. pug and jack Russell mix. She is always between sizes so it fits a tiny bit large.
