My Quaker is very picky about toys and most I buy he never touches. He does love bells, though, and his old one was starting to rust and needed to be replaced. I have recently read about some of the dangers of bell toys, two things being the metal they are made of and the other being the type of clapper in the bell. After doing my research I decided this was the safest replacement I could find. It is made of stainless steel and will not rust, and the clapper is well within the bell so it is out of reach. My bird will not leave this bell alone. He loves it! The ring tone is pleasant sounding, too, which is a plus or I would have been driven crazy by now! I’m so glad he finally has a toy that he seems to love!

These are great bells for parrots! They sound awesome and all my birds have 1. They love it!

I have a Quaker parrot that loves bells. Every single toy that I buy him with bells is ruined within 2 days. I have no idea how he does it but he basically cuts the metal with his beak to get to the middle part that moves and makes the sound, it literally looks like someone took heavy duty scissors and cut it. I have no idea what happens to the part, I'm assuming he's dropping them into the bottom of his cage but I've hardly ever found any and fear that he will either intentionally or accidentally swallow the part which would be fatal. I haven't seen it yet but I'm sure he can and maybe even has cut his beak or sides of his mouth on the metal he slices off, it looks quite sharp when he's done with it. I also can't afford to buy him new toys every week, bird toys are pricey! Once he damages the bell the toy is now boring to him and he hardly touches it. I found this bell and saw that it came in two sizes, I went with the smaller of the two because he's a medium sized bird. It would probably be too big for parakeets and birds that size but I think this is perfect for him, almost too big! He can jingle this which he does with his hands or his beak and no matter how hard he tries, he can't get to the piece in the middle. It's kind of loud and annoying sometimes but, he loves bells and birds aren't quiet anyhow so it's a trade off. At least I know he is having fun, not bored, and it would be a lot more difficult for him to hurt himself on this. It should literally last his entire lifetime and then some!

I have a Mccaw parrot and I have gone through so many bells with him. He just crushes them and gets mad they don't work anymore. I ordered 2 of these and he LOVES these! One is on the cage and 1 he carry around and puts in a bowl when he's done. So far they still look good and he hasn't been able to crush them. He plays with them several times a day. Great bells!!

If you get migraines like me, walk on by and forget this item! My African grey, Gabby, loves these so much that she rings and bangs them (she has 4) all day long. I have to take them out at night, or she would ring them even during the night. It seems to be fun and a stress reliever for her, especially now that she's going through puberty. She has learned how to unscrew one, hold it in her beak or foot, and bang it against the cage. I hardly ever swear, but one night recently when I was sick, she maxed out my last nerve and I said "I'm gonna take that f-ing bell out of your f-ing cage right now!". Of course, we all know what Gabby says now!!! Seriously, the birds love these bells! Just take them out periodically if they get on your nerves. Don't swear like me!!

Love the Bell, the reason for the 4 stars is the sound is not as loud as normal. It is a nice sound though. Maybe it was suppose to come this way for the sake of our ears, but it is the Parrot that counts and their bell is really important. It is the most favorite of all the toys she has and she has many bells. This one is quite unique though; it is shaped differently and my main concern was the clapper. It is tucked way up inside, it is a ball on a long steel rod, so it won't come off and impossible for my Parrot to remove. She is a Blue Crown Conure for size reference on the bell she used a size small. it is easier to keep clean and who knows, maybe this will be my favorite one for her. If so I will buy more.

I almost didn’t get it because half the fun seems to be able to destroy a new toy right?! My African Grey loves it! Great value, bell is a soothing tone and not obnoxious! No parts to worry about swallowing.

I really can’t say enough great things about this bell! My young African Grey LOVES this bell, and I like that it came with a safe clasp. It’s a little noisy but come on, what bell isn’t?! It’s worth it for the birds enjoyment :)

Diese Glocke ist einfach ganz wunderbar... irgendwie ein ganz besonderer Anziehungspunkt für unsere Papageien. Superrobust, so dass sie auch mal einen Papageien-Wutanfall schadlos übersteht... und aufgrund der langen, schmalen Form können die Rabauken den Klöppel innen nicht demontieren. Ich habe sogar drei davon für meine Schätzchen gekauft :)

The parrot has not stopped ringing the bell since it was installed. Joe loves it.
