Polar Ignite 2 GPS Fitness Smartwatch with Wrist Heart Rate

Really pleased with this purchase. Has lots of functions and with sleep and exercises functions it gives all the data I could want. In terms of strength and suggested exercises it has more features than I need. Good battery life (lasts thee to four days with daily exercise) and charges quickly. For its functions and style think watch is good value. Im my view simple but good looking sports watch.

Let me start with the positive, its quite light and you dont really feel it when running. Personally, i though I would only use it when running but I do use it everyday now as it monitors my sleep and activities. Battery life is sufficient for 2-3 hours runs. For the cost its a great design overall. However, GPS is not working great. You would need to go to start training screen and wait around 5 min to get a good signal. Moreover, to activate the screen while running, you need to over move your arm. I also brought a hearth sensor from Polar and they work together with no problem. Overall, it’s good value for money for a amateur runner (or gym enthusiast).

I got this polar to replace my last Polar which was an M430 I think? The thing I love is that its easy to charge and to sync up to track my training month, which I can see on my PC. I find doing this keeps me accountable and helps with my motivation. I do strength training, circuit training and skipping. Overall I would give it 90 %. If it had a skipping function I would give it a perfect score.

This was the 2nd polar watch I have bought. I really liked them both but the first stopped working (screen freeze) after about 18 months. Polar were very slow in trying to sort the problem but Amazon refunded me. Weeks later polar sent me a voucher to buy a new watch which I didn't accept as my money was refunded. After looking at numerous watches nothing seemed as good as Polar so I bought another one. Screen froze within 3 weeks. I can't find anything that does what I want like the polar watch. Would buy another but my experience tells me no.

This is a Pound shop fitness watch, it does everything a fitness watch should do just not very well. The screen is low-def, clunky touchscreen with basic OS, and the button is stubborn. The heart rate sensor is somewhat inaccurate even more so during exercise. Battery life is poor with continuous HR monitoring turned on. Connects to polar flow app perfectly fine, just don’t expect it to connect to ALL gym cardio equipment. If you use an HR chest strap with it, absolutely no idea if the HR reading on watch is taken from strap or watch itself. But other than that it’s good value for what it is, but I won’t use it, in fact it would stop me from exercising all together as it is not enjoyable to use.

After a year of home office working, I needed something to help promote a better lifestyle. The polar ignite 2 did everything I was looking for: fitness orientated with good sleep tracking and an eco system that provides simple feedback and motivation. Battery life has got me through a long, active Bank-Holiday weekend and proven quick to recharge and synch. Now 6 weeks into a 10km training programme the variety of training events, automatically downloaded, has been great: stretching, core mobility, strength exercises in addition to heart rate profiled running. All this in an a light, attractive watch. Impressed.

Watch is great for exercise as well tracking sleep. This watch will track HR of sleep, HR beat variation, REM cycles and time of each cycle in your night of sleep, interruptions in your night of sleep, etc etc and also tracks quality of sleep based on HR. The watch keeps track of average sleep statistics as well to track improvement of sleep. I like the alarm function as well since I usually can’t wake up from my phone alarm clock. The battery life is sufficient enough that it lasts over 4 days most of the time depending on how many workouts you do or other functions that you use and recharging is quick. Touch controls are a little slow to respond, and sometimes difficult to use when sweating a lot or if the watch/your hand is wet. I’ve used this watch in a steam room and pool many times in the past 6 months without any water damage issues at all. The watch continues to function and track HR and workout data even after over an hour inside a steam room (115 degree F is the typical temperature in the steam room I use). The button allows you to pause or save a workout without using the touch functions which comes in handy when using the watch for swimming or other sports involving water. The watch also has weather data as well if paired with your phone. In regards to Hr accuracy, the watch does need to be secured and not loose to properly track HR especially for sleep data to be accurate. I have experienced inaccurate readings when I did not have the watch right enough on my wrist, but it doesn’t need to be painfully tight. Overall a great watch for those who don’t care for smart watch capabilities but want a solid watch for exercise and sleep tracking.

Estoy super contenta con mi pulsómetro Polar ignite 2, mis entrenamientos son mucho mas fáciles por que a través de la app polar Flow puedes planificar tus entrenamientos para la semana, mes o incluso año. al salir a entrenar el pulsómetro te va diciendo lo que tienes que hacer, hace valoración del sueño, te mide la frecuencia cardiaca constantemente con bastante exactitud, al igual que la señal GPS también es muy buena. Tiene función de relajación, te dice la temperatura por horas, la acumulación de horas de entreno que llevas en la semana. Dispone de cronometro, fitness test y muchas cosas mas que me han encantado a la vez que ayudado en mis entrenamientos. Después si nos vamos al diseño es un reloj muy elegante y cómodo. su correa es de goma beige y la pantalla viene decorada por un anillo dorado. La pantalla es táctil y también tiene un botón en el lado izquierdo que sirve para ir atrás. En conclusión, no lo cambio por ningún otro, en todo caso por uno superior como seria el ignite 3.

Arrivato da poco il mio nuovo Polar Ignite2, ho aspettato prima di fare una recensione di provarlo qualche giorno per capire come funziona e quali sono le sue principali funzioni. Partiamo dall’estetica, devo dire che è veramente bello, un design molto raffinato che mi permette di indossarlo in qualsiasi occasione. Super leggero, non ti accorgi di averlo al polso e un display a colori interamente touch, anche il cinturino risulta morbido e piacevole al tatto. Passiamo ora alle funzioni, almeno quelle che finora sono riuscita a provare, il nuovo Ignite 2 analizza la mia attività quotidiana, monitorando sia la frequenza cardiaca sia il movimento giornaliero effettuato ed infine le calorie consumate nel corso della giornata, se lo indossi analizza il sonno e qui sono rimasta davvero sorpresa dell’analisi veramente attenta, infatti non solo mi dice quante ore ho dormito ma mi indica le varie fasi del sonno, la frequenza cardiaca media durante la notte la f.c. minima e massima e la mattina al risveglio oltre a fornirmi un feedback sulla qualità del sonno mi dice anche quanto quelle ore di sonno sono state rigenerati e quanto ho recuperato dall’affaticamento del giorno precedente. Anche la parte sport è molto completa, GPS, velocità, altimetria. percorso effettuato, e molto altro anche se ancora non ho visto tutto nel dettaglio. Altra funzione per me importante è quella chiamata Fit Spark, questa funzione mi aiuta a capire quale esercizio fisico è meglio fare e in che modo effettarlo, insomma una specie di guida che mi indica le attività più indicate per me ma soprattutto come le devo affrontare e con quale intensità. Ovviamente si connette con il mio smartphone e riesco a ricevere notifiche varie, avvisi di chiamata e posso anche gestire l’ascolto della musica del mio telefono, io uso Spotify, ma credo possa gestire anche altre app multimediali. Per ora sono molto contenta del mio acquisto ed ho trovato un prodotto che sia bello esteticamente ma allo stesso tempo veramente utile per chi pratica sport in modo continuativo, quindi si cerca precisone, affidabilità e funzioni specifiche.
