Very fine iron filings
Purchased this to make a magnetic field visualizer (Mix iron filings in mineral oil, and see how the particles respond to the field. Added too much of the particles to the first batch of oil, and the whole fluid became opaque. Responded strongly to magnetic fields. Good for demonstrating MR fluids (even if not professional grade MR fluid material)
