Good basic common words for baby
This is helpful as my German isn't very good. My husband is better, and I want my daughter to grow up hearing (and hopefully understanding and speaking) other languages as they're so much easier to learn when you're young. Really, my only disappointment is I wish it had more animals. But it's a lovely book full of helpful words. I get sick of looking things up online all the time.If you, like me, are wondering what the difference is been the toddler version and the preschool and think you may as well get the version with over 300 words, I will say I got the toddler in German and preschool in Spanish and they are Not identical but with more words. The focus really is different based on intended age. Both are helpful to me, as I'm trying to teach my daughter at least the basics in both languages (and obviously English) but once she's a bit older (currently not quite a year) the toddler book will be Much easier for her to look through/read once she can. There are more words per page in the preschool version and even some matching "games" kind of like a workbook. Both books are great, but if you're deciding which to get I'd start with the one for your child's current age and get the more advanced version later. I think it would be worth purchasing both.

PERFECT dual language learning tool
We’ve had this book twice (toddlers rip things apart, guys!), and it is HIGHLY effective in not only teaching our daughter our second language, but entertaining and engaging her. Before we bought the second one, it had gotten to the point where she was literally carrying the well-loved and torn pages around, asking us to read her scraps.Silly anecdote, but it perfectly illustrates how this book engages little ones to enjoy their early education. I’ve already had the baby version, and I plan on getting the Kindergarten one in a few years here. This is genuinely a PERFECT dual language learning tool.

Good beginners book
I speak German and want to get my daughter started early on picking up German (she's almost 2 months) so the bright colors and pictures are awesome and cute. There are some errors though, but easily corrected if you know the language. I would recommend for babies learning from German speakers, not so much for adults learning on their own

Cute
My son is almost 2 and I am German and my husband is American. This book is cute and great to encourage toddlers 2 say words in both languages. However, some of the photos are strange choices for the words the are supposed to symbolize and seem confusing for a child. But over all a cute little book.

An excellent resource to learn German
An excellent resource to learn German. Having pictures paired with English and German translations of each word is very helpful. What's more, any good German language book should have the article before each word (Example: "Dog" should be translated as "der Hund"). This book has all of the articles, which makes this book a no brainer for the learning child. It also shows a diverse range of concepts in the book, to give a child a well rounded early understanding of German or English. Recommended!

FUN BOOK
I read and speak what the pics are in German and English with the 2 1/2 yr old! She LOVES her “German word book”Now, if only this soon to be 65 yr old had a better memory to retain even half as many words in German as she does😂

Great translation for teaching words
My mom's German and doesn't live near us to teach my little guy her native tongue. These books has helped with hi teachings. I especially appreciate that it's bilingual and gives the reader and listener easy translation of what's being read.
