I’ve only really put the VTF gauge to work so far, but even with limited use, the overall quality is good. It's not heavy and is a size suitable enough to carry around with you needed. The tools come packed in a semi‑hard zip‑up case that actually feels protective rather than decorative, and everything inside is organized. There's extra space in case you need to store other things. I have a little case with my extra stylus that I also keep in here.The VTF gauge itself is straightforward, easy to read, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Making sure that your cartridge is utilizing the correct tracking force is essential to good sound with your turntable. This thing zeros that right in and you don't actually have to fumble as much with the counterweight. I was able to get my cartridge set perfectly to 1.5 g, which is precisely where it needs to be.Everything else looks just as solid. The acrylic pieces are cut cleanly, the edges aren’t rough, and nothing feels like a cheap add‑on thrown in to pad the box. It’s the kind of set that feels like it’ll hold up over time rather than something you’ll replace after a few uses. Another good Hudson Hi-Fi product.If you’re looking for a simple, well‑made set of alignment tools, even if you only need one or two pieces right now, this is a genuinely good option. It works, it’s built well, and it's a great value. Buying decent tools individually will be more expensive, and there's no point when you can get everything in a single package. This is a great deal, and I'm glad I bought it.

Works fine. My set up was so close from the factory, didn't have to do much. Definitely a handy item. Recommend it.

I bought a atvm95e cartridge and all my records were skipping. I set my counter weight 3 times, made micro adjustments to the alignment til I was blue in the face. Turns out my counter weight was off from where it should have been. By my count, the multiple times I set my weight, my vtf was 2.2g turns out it was 1.85g which is below the minimum recommendation of 1.88. Got it dialed in at 2.1 and no more skipping records. This could have saved me a lot of headaches if I had just bought it to set up my new cartridge from the get go. If you're getting into this as a hobby these are all great tools to have and it comes with a nice rigid solf shell case. My only minor complaint is that I wish it came with the mirrored protractor hudson sells. Thats said I'm happy with the quality and you can't beat the price!

Everything is included perfect for setting up a turntable. The calibration weight for the scale is in a compartment on the bottom of the scale. Took me a minute to find it. Shipped fast and is as described. I'll probably buy some more stuff from Hudson Hi-Fi.

I’m a beginner regarding the full and proper set up of a turntable (of which I was previously unaware of the importance), I found this kit to be top notch. It has the right equipment for tyros to learn and respect the ideals required to make the best alignment possible without the need to spend hundreds of dollars to make your turntable to be adjusted with a great amount of accuracy. Assuming the stylus scale is accurate, and I don’s see that there is any reason to doubt it is true, it has bumped up my level of proper tone arm accuracy. Inexpensive, but I don’t think it’s any worse for being so. Gotta love that scale!
