10% Povidone-Iodine USP, 1% available Iodine. Appropriate for small site pre-injection patient preparation. Disinfecting of wounds and burns. Emergency antiseptic treatment of lacerations and abrasions. Each lot of the povidone-iodine solution is terminally sterilized to a 10-6 sterility assurance level. APIC has stated “all skin preparation products should be manufactured to be sterile. Broad-spectrum efficacy shown against skin pathogens, including gram-negative bacteria, gram-positive bacteria and yeasts.
