Smells good but not sure it lightens as good
I couldn’t tell you if this actually made a difference in lightening my hair in the sun, but it smells really good. That said, I probably won’t repurchase because it’s pretty pricey for not seeing that huge of a difference, but a fun product to have in my beach bag.

Smells great and makes your hair feel wonderful
Definitely worth more than five starts! This makes my hair feel so soft and it smells wonderful. I’d love that smell in a perfume! It’s really that good.

Works to subtly maintain highlights
The people who note this is for *maintaining* not creating highlights have it completely right. After carefully reading the comments, but really cringing at the price, I finally bought this. With this economy, I can now only afford to do color and highlights twice a year. Naturally my highlights tend to fade a lot over that period of time -- those final two months, I look pretty rough. So I justified a luxury Oribe purchase as a way to keep my hair looking salon-fresh longer. I use this at most twice a week, after washing my hair and then blow drying. It makes my highlights just a smidge lighter blonde. Mostly, it just makes my hair look like I just walked out of the salon right after my stylist did my color. What this spray is not is Sun-In, or similar strong blends of peroxide and citric acid. In other words, it's not going to create quick (weird, obvious, probably orange) highlights for you. Well, maybe if you used a whole bottle and saturated your hair and fried it repeatedly with a blow dryer. Dunno. Haven't tried. Not my goal. One star off for the absolutely ridiculous price. If take two off if it didn't work so well. If anyone knows of a great dupe, please mention it in the comments. Otherwise, I'll repurchase -- but I'll wait for a sale.

It works and doesn’t damage my hair
I used this over 5 consecutive days - I applied to wet hair and used a blew dryer. The before shot is on day 2, and the after shot is day 5. I used a lot more product than recommended, about 30 sprays. So over 5 days I used maybe half the bottle. But so cheap compared to going to a salon even once, and much less damaging to my hair ! ! I chose Oribe because it doesn’t have peroxide or other nasty chemicals. Before trying Oribe I was doing fresh squeezed lemon juice on my hair then going into the sun — which seems like a good idea since it’s all natural but wow pure lemon is very drying, definitely not as effective, time consuming, and messy! I also use overnight honey-cinnamon masks (all natural) which are very effective.

Beautiful color!
My natural hair color is dark blonde or light brown. I used to get expensive balayage, but this is definitely the way to go. It took a couple weeks to start showing the highlights, but once it set, it looked amazing. I just used a blow dryer since I dont get a lot of sun this time of year in the PNW. I wish I got before pics to show the change, because there is definitely a significant difference. My hair has the perfect golden highlights. It looks great, love the color. Totally worth the price.
