Works great, directions not great but it's obvious where the parts fit and go. Rated 200 pounds and I'm 220 but I'm not scared.

This is a beautiful and sturdy chair/stool- I will use it for a photography prop outside. I was impressed by the quality of the wood. Very sturdy in both its forms. The directions are written in Chinese, but I was able to put it together in under 30 minutes (and I am horrible at putting things together). Don't tighten the screws completely until the chair is finished, I put two pieces on backwards but I was able to figure it out.

False claim- max weight on instructions says 90kg, not the 150kg advertised. This is BAD!!! Assembly instructions are pathetic; they are difficult to see and no good explanation. The hinges don't fit right - not easy to find a replacement that would work. We've had this for a couple of weeks now and have to figure a way to stop the floppiness. I wish I could have had better insight. ONCE YOU PUT IT TOGETHER YOU'RE S.O.L. - GOOD LUCK FITTING IT BACK INTO THE BOX TO RETURN. Wasted money.

I had my teens assemble this for me to give them a puzzle to figure out, and they got it! Took about an hour. I helped them at the last screw because it wouldn’t line up and we just used an impact to make a new hole. No biggie. And we use it daily for our library. It’s a beautiful little chair that sits in the corner and when we need to reach the books up top we just flip it over and climb up. Holds a good amount of weight and easy enough for my 8 year old to use too.

Unless you read Chinese kanji, really. Guided by reviews, we gave this a try and weren't disappointed. It's a great product, if you have good enough flat pack assembly skills to figure it out. Because you will need to if you don't read kanji fluently. It can hold my way-too-big 250+ pounds and not creak. The ladder rungs feel stable, and I can reach the top shelves in the kitchen, finally. Bonus for somewhere to sit when waiting for the pot to boil. A couple extra screws were included, making it a good deal for what you're getting, IMO. Remember, this is a chair for Chinese folks, for Chinese folks. If you're much taller than 5ft 5 in, you'll be squatting sitting on it. Of course, you wouldn't need a step stool as much as shorty me, anyway.

The quality of the wood used is good. All of the screws went in easily and accurately. It easily holds 250 pounds. As a chair, it works wells. As a step stool, it worked fine. Having both in one item in my travel trailer is such a bonus.

Does the job. A few extra parts that have nothing to do with the assembly of the chair. the instructions are fine, but pictures are small so you really have to study them to no misunderstand what they are directing you to do. Also, awkward hinge angle - sticks up above the seat and can hurt if you sit on it wrong.

This is very useful and is exactly what was needed in our library. Our only complaint was the poor directions for assembly.
