Great hanger for wall quilt
Made a sleeve 42” long for this rod on the back of a quilted wall hanging, 36” x 46”. Used a 48” rod which I did not have to extend all the way, which is sturdy enough to support the weight of this small quilt.Easy to install the brackets using a level on top of curtain rod, and this type of sash rod does not show from the front of the quilt. Worked perfect for this project.

Sturdy Curtain Rod
I needed a cafe curtain rod that could hold some weight. This one looked as if it would be able to do that. I was so happy when it arrived and I saw how substantial the rod was. It is holding a 5' 4" quilt on the wall. The brackets are a little funky or perhaps I just haven't seen any like it, but they work just fine. Easy to install and I am very happy with the rod.

Serves a purpose but the microscopic documentation is unusable
This is a nice white metal sash rod (meaning a straight flat rod) that hugs close to the wall, which is what I wanted for hanging thermal drapes to help with drafts. The hardware is very basic, but can be mounted in two positions, and it's just 2 screws per bracket. There is a clip on the end of each bracket which holds the bracket-end tight in the rod. So if you have a problem with the rod being too loose on the bracket (as at least one reviewer mentioned) you just want to pry out the clip a little so it pushes harder against the inside of the rod, and also make sure you are pushing the rod all the way onto the clip so that it holds better. For the low price, this is nice quality and well-suits a specific purpose. The rod will hold most drapes, but probably won't hold up well if they are very heavy and it's extended near its limit of 48" or so. However, it is not flimsy and should be reliable in typical uses.I'm deducting a point because there is a horrible lack of basic documentation that easily could have been included or printed on the end card. While this is very simple to use, there are many people who might have trouble figuring out what to do, and a few sentences and non-microscopic pictures could have made that much easier. A 1 cent bit of paper with readable instructions and pictures would have earned this the full 5 stars.I've attached a picture of the brackets so you can see the little tab that should be pulled up a bit if the rod is too loose on the bracket end.
