Zests like a charm! Good for Lemons, ginger, garlic... First gotten a Whole Foods. Was so sad that they no longer had in stock when my son borrowed mine forever! Now so happy that I found it on Amazon!

I ordered three based my previous experience with them. They grate hard boiled eggs, pickles, olives, celery, etc very efficiently because they grate in both directions. They do not rust and they stay sharp. I have broken one of them at the bottom of the handle (as others have reported) because I put the end of the grater on the cutting board and applied too much pressure to the middle of the grater. To me, this was my problem and an easy fix. I keep the end of the grater off of the cutting board.

I purchased this grater to replace one that broke, which I loved. I just assumed this one was exactly the same, and while it looks just like the other Joie Grater I had, this one doesn’t work as well. I was able to grate garlic perfectly with my old one, but with this one, the garlic just makes a mushy mess. I think the grates on the one I used to have must have been smaller/finer which I prefer.

I already owned this item and ordered this one for my SIL. She really likes it, grates and seats with ease.

Great mini grater and perfect for my camping kit. The grater bits point both ways so can make it a little difficult to clean and you can end up with a lot of sponge fluff caught in it!

The good: The size and shape are perfect for grating Parmesan and other hard cheeses, as well as ginger, garlic, nutmeg, and bottarga. Thanks to the dual-direction holes, it works much faster than other graters of comparable size, and the large handle gives good control and stability.The bad: The plastic is fragile, and *will* crack eventually, even if you’re careful with it. And once it’s cracked it is completely unusable. Think of this thing as disposable.Bottom line: I’ve broken two of these things so far. But I still bought a third one.

Very nice gratet, small but exactly what I was looking for.

It wasn't used very much so has no excuse to break after 18 months. Flimsy fragile flim flam. Bah!
